It absorbs well, leaves no white cast, and doesn't pill when I layer other products on top.
ConsThere's nothing particularly bad, but since it's a functional product, I'm always a bit concerned whether I'm cleansing it off properly.
TipIf you put the samples you get from department store purchases (which are quite generous) back into the container, you can use it for quite a long time.

It absorbs well without feeling sticky or pilling. It's great for makeup application and doesn't irritate my skin, which is why I keep coming back to it.
ConsIt seems a bit pricey when purchased from offline stores in Korea.

I've been using it for just under a month, and I haven't experienced any blemishes - it's been good. This would be perfect for someone looking for a lightweight sunscreen.
ConsThis was my first time using a sunscreen with such a thin consistency, so I struggled a bit with controlling the amount at first.
TipIt can be a bit drying, but if you apply a hydrating base and give it enough time to absorb before applying the sunscreen, it works well.

Plus, it doesn't cause any pilling with makeup.
ConsIt stings my eyes... That aside, lately it's been causing a tingling sensation on my skin too. But when I didn't have a chance to remove it and left it on, it felt fine after a few hours... It's been in my bedroom and I've used it occasionally for a few years now. This is a newly opened one, so I'm not sure why it's acting up like this.
TipI'm currently mixing it into my cushion foundation. It blends well due to its light consistency and does a great job at evening out my skin tone, but it's unbearably stinging near the eyes. I wouldn't recommend this method...

I've been using it for 8 years now because I love it so much. It doesn't leave a white cast and doesn't cause my makeup to pill. My whole family uses only this one. Even my oily-skinned brother, who used to skip sunscreen because he hated greasy and sticky products, now uses this one because it's less oily and feels good. People who prefer more hydrating products might not like it, but I highly recommend it to those who enjoy a fresh feel. I took off one star for the price, but otherwise, I'm completely satisfied!
ConsDue to the high price, I either buy a set of three at duty-free shops to last a year or purchase a three-pack online (Japanese proxy shopping is usually cheaper). I don't shop online much, but buying from offline stores at 40,000-50,000 won per bottle is too expensive, so I buy online if I can't go to duty-free shops. I was surprised to see some cautionary ingredients on Hwahae, but it's hard to find products without any of those ingredients, and I'm still using it without any blemishes.
TipSince it's a very fluid product, make sure to shake it well and apply it while holding your face at an angle (it can drip, and you need to see in the mirror). It's best to squeeze out small amounts onto your cheeks, forehead, nose, and chin. In winter, you might find it a bit drying, so it's good to apply plenty of moisturizer before using it. When purchasing, buying in bulk is much cheaper than individual bottles, so you can buy enough for a year or split it with friends or family to save money. Last time, I bought a large size at the duty-free shop and I'm still using it.

Unlike typical sunscreens, it doesn't leave a greasy or shiny finish, making your skin feel fresh and matte even in summer as the final step of your skincare routine. Your skin won't suffer even in hot weather. Reapplying doesn't cause pilling or disturb your makeup.
ConsIt's so oil-free and non-greasy that I was worried it might crack my skin in winter - that's how drying it was. My skin became flaky with visible dead skin cells. Even in summer, reapplying multiple times made my skin feel rough and suffocated, as if covered in dust. The powerful formula left my skin noticeably damaged by the time I cleansed in the evening.

It doesn't feel tacky at all and leaves a nice, powdery finish! 2. No white cast This product doesn't leave any whiteness or residue. It just gives a light finishing touch, so whether you apply a thin layer or accidentally use too much, it won't interfere with your makeup. 3. No pilling This third benefit... it's why I always use it before applying makeup! It works hard to prevent any pilling.
Cons1. The ingredients aren't great I found out from the Hwahae app. Unfortunately, it's not a product with the best ingredients. 2. Might be drying for those with dry skin That's why I make sure to use a solid skincare routine underneath. Personally, I find it works well with Skinfood's 'clean ingredients' honey cream (is that the right one?).

It applies incredibly light and seems to provide excellent UV protection. The adherence is fantastic - it never pills or slides off, no matter what you layer on top.
ConsThe only downside might be the price... Nevertheless, I'd highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Japan or those seeking perfect sun protection.
TipA little goes a long way - it spreads easily across the skin.

It's Japanese and not exactly cheap, so I tried many others, but I always come back to this one. It doesn't pill, and when I apply it, I feel like it brightens my complexion. The most important reason I keep using it is how well it adheres to my skin. It absorbs well, leaving my skin neither greasy nor dry. I have dry skin, so I don't usually mind products that are a bit rich, but with sunscreen, it's crucial that it adheres well to the skin without being too drying, especially since I'll be applying makeup over it. This is the only sunscreen that meets all these criteria for me.
ConsThe scent isn't particularly pleasant. Other than that... I have dry skin, so I'm not entirely sure how it would work for other skin types.
