 There used to be Clinique sales at the duty-free store every other day. It seems they were trying to clear out the inventory of products with the closest expiration dates. I had always wanted to buy the Laser Focus Essence or the Dropper type, but I gave up on that when I bought the Estée Lauder brown bottle last time... The result was just regret, haha. I still don't understand why the brown bottle is so good... It seems to even out the skin tone, but at that price, it should also provide good moisture, right? It pulls on the skin like crazy... And what's this about wrinkle improvement? What kind of theory is that?

However, the Laser Serum was always sold out when Clinique had a sale, so I was going crazy... In the end, I just left the country and kept waiting for it to be restocked at my travel destination. It was more expensive than the Smart Serum or Optimizer, so I thought it might be even better, haha.

It's a godsend for me!!! I bought it without even checking the ingredients!!! The reason is that even after checking the ingredients a hundred times, I've had too many products that were useless for my skin. But as a reference, European cosmetics seem to use ascorbyl glucoside as a whitening ingredient, while Korea uses a lot of niacinamide. I think my skin doesn't respond well to niacinamide.

This product evens out my skin tone just as well as the brown bottle, but it's less drying. However, it's not as silky-smooth as the brown bottle. They say if you use it consistently morning and night, you'll see amazing results in 4 weeks. But I was already shocked when I looked in the mirror 2 weeks later; my face was so white... And our bathroom has such bright white fluorescent lighting that every single blackhead is visible, ugh. But in terms of skin tone, this is definitely the best whitening product I've ever used!

When I used the whole bottle, I didn't see much of a whitening effect.
And sometimes when I apply this, I feel like it clogs my pores and leaves me feeling stuffy.

This was the focus of attention for Clinique's whitening before the new product was released, and I also bought it and used it for over 10 bottles. The whitening effect is really effective..
I couldn't feel it while using it, but when I stopped using it, I could clearly tell the difference.
I've also bought the renewed version and have a lot of it stocked up, so I'm just waiting to finish using those and then switch back to it again.
It really only takes a small amount to moisturize and have a whitening effect, and it absorbs into the face quickly without drying it out.

I just dab it on the spots, and the 100ml bottle lasts me about 6 months. If you mindlessly slather it all over your face, it'll be gone in just 3 months.

Also, if you apply it over a product that forms a protective layer, it won't be as effective. Just apply it right after your toner, and dab it on.

The price...that's why I only buy the 100ml size when I go to duty-free, mustering up the courage to splurge.

And it doesn't really work well on the deeper-seated freckles or age spots. And as you get older, the fading process does slow down a bit.

The scent might seem strange at first, but after using it for a while, I don't even notice it anymore, haha.
