Applying this BB cream over a sunscreen with a white cast results in a much brighter finish than using the BB cream alone.

I mix in a tiny bit of a very light foundation, which makes it just the right brightness for me. On its own, it might look a bit dull. The color is slightly lighter than it appears in photos.

The color! I wish it was just a bit lighter. While it's not extremely dark for a BB cream, it seems to be around shade 21.5-22, so those with very fair skin might not be able to use it. Also, because it gives such a natural skin tone, there's almost no brightening effect. It just makes your skin look better, but not brighter. And the packaging isn't very pretty! I've looked at other Hanskin BB creams, and this one seems to have the best ingredients. I tried a sample before buying the full size.

I've been using this BB cream for about a year now, after using Atomy's for 5 years. While Atomy had a reddish undertone, this Hanskin one has a slightly brighter, more beige tone which I really like. What I love most is how it covers most of my pores on my nose and makes my skin look as smooth as a peeled egg! It's not completely matte, but has a slight glow. It's definitely not powdery, and I think it would work well for both oily and dry skin types, unless you have extremely oily skin. I only use BB creams because foundations tend to emphasize my large pores, make flaky skin more noticeable, or break down easily. But this one hardly breaks down at all! It applies nicely even around the sides of my nose. It seems to melt into my pores naturally, covering them well, and the staying power is impressive - it looks the same even in the evening (I rarely see it break down). Rather than breaking down, it just seems to fade away. Of course, you might need to touch up oily areas, but often you don't even need to (great staying power). It even smooths over dry, flaky skin well, so I used it comfortably in winter too. While the shade isn't particularly light, when applied it doesn't look too dark either - it gives a very natural look. There's minimal darkening throughout the day, and the ingredients are gentle enough that I've never experienced any blemishes. If the color was just a tad lighter, I'd use this for life!

For flawless results, follow up with concealer after applying this BB cream.

This is my holy grail BB cream! I haven't found anything better yet. It's so hydrating that it feels like my makeup just melts into my skin, and the coverage is pretty impressive! It doesn't seem to trigger any blemishes either.

I alternate between this and the Volume Fill BB cream. They're quite similar in ingredients, texture, and how they absorb. For my daily routine, I apply an oil-free sunscreen, then this BB cream, and finish with eyeshadow. It evens out my skin tone nicely, so it's perfect for a light, everyday look when you don't need anything too fancy.

Since this is a BB cream, it's only available in one shade, which might not be suitable for those with oily skin or fairer complexions. If you have oily skin, you'll notice the coverage fading quickly.
