ConsIt's only my second day using it, but when I apply it, my skin gets itchy and develops redness.

While some men might receive it as a gift (like yours truly), most people who download the Hwahae app are either gift-givers or men who've shown interest in skincare at least once! While the Pitera Essence is famous, this is my first time trying the Men's line. The cooling agent really emphasizes that this is a male-specific product. (It feels more refreshing than the unisex Pitera Essence.) The ingredients are the same as the original essence, with two additions: Glycereth-25 PCA Isostearate and Menthoxypropanediol. Glycereth is used for hydration and barrier formation, while Menthoxypropanediol is a sweetener and fragrance, confirmed to be safe. The scent is milder than the original Pitera Essence, but the effectiveness is the same, making it a great choice for men or those new to SK2. I recommend taking photos to compare your skin's gradual changes over one, two, or three weeks of use. (If you want dramatic results, I'd suggest a professional treatment.) It's great for daily use, but I personally use it for deep care in the evenings. Although it has a watery consistency, it's still an essence, so I recommend using your regular toner to prep your skin first. Unlike the original Pitera, the application method is different - you pour it directly into your hands instead of using a cotton pad. After applying it all over your face, gently pat to help absorption. I highly recommend this for boyfriends, dads, or any important men in your life who want to take care of their skin voluntarily.
Cons- Some skin types don't react well to fermented essences. In such cases, it can cause blemishes, so if you experience severe itching, tingling, or redness, please stop using it. (Just because it's expensive doesn't mean it's good for everyone.) In terms of price, I recommend starting with the 75ml size (96,000 won) for first-time users. While the 160ml (199,000 won) and 230ml (219,000 won) sizes offer similar volume differences compared to the 75ml, there's only a 20,000 won price difference, so I'd recommend going for the larger size.
TipYou can get a skin test and free samples by visiting an SK2 store. I strongly advise trying the samples before purchasing the full-size product.

ConsIt occasionally made my skin itchy, which tends to happen when the seasons change, but other than that, it was fine
