1. The shade is darker than expected, so try testing a shade one tone lighter and the one I normally use.
2. The natural glow doesn't seem to work for those with normal to dry skin.
3. Gently patting with the fingers works best for application. Or use a short, bouncy, and firm brush. Using a sponge is the worst option.

I was originally looking for a natural and dewy foundation since my skin is already good, so I'm testing this out. But this is almost as if I haven't applied anything at all. Some people said it gives a natural glow, but I don't think that applies to those with very dry skin. I was hoping for a natural glow and just a bit of skin tone correction, but it's literally the same as not wearing anything.

The finish is truly natural and fluffy. It is not heavy.

As for tips, since everyone has different skin types, I don't have any specific recommendations on how to apply base makeup. Everyone should find what works best for their own skin.

These days, there are many 'clean' products out there, but the Laura Mercier items aren't the cleanest. I'm a bit concerned about that, but I don't always know the ingredients, so it's not a huge issue for now.

The Cera product was quite moisturizing and spreadable for my dry skin. In my case, I purchased the mini size since the full size has a lot of product. As I don't reapply makeup frequently, the mini size is perfect for me.
The nude shade seems healthier for me compared to my usual shade, so I apply it after Hera Starter (mint color), Shu Uemura primer, or Anna Sui gel primer. It looks natural, so it's great for quick errands. When I do full makeup, I just lightly dab on some cushion as it can look a bit too natural at times. It's really nice. Be sure to apply something before putting on the Laura Mercier. That will give you a subtle glow.
I've included photos comparing the Laura Mercier with the Shu Uemura standalone shade so you can see the difference.

 I'm currently using the Skin Food Secret Essence - The Body Shop Sunscreen - Hourglass Primer - Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer - Loose Powder - Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray.
I've determined that this is suitable for a natural, bare-faced look, and instead of falling for the white cast of so-called "tone-up creams", just using this feels like I'm saving money. It also seems good for quick application.

 The ingredients are really terrible. If there are no particular skin issues, I plan to continue using it. The shade is... if it was just a bit lighter... There's no ashy tone, but it has an orange?? peach?? glow, but after applying and going to work, it gets a bit darker. At least there's no ashy tone, which is a relief.

 Price: Purchased a size about half the full size from Sephora. It was around less than $24. Anyway, it was purchased cheaper than in Korea.

Usage: Applies smoothly. I'm not sure about the creasing mentioned in reviews. Even when applying Estee Lauder Double Wear really well, the under-eye fine lines and creasing tend to be quite noticeable, but this product didn't have that issue. I'd say the application is excellent.
I mainly use my fingers. Applying it with my hands, I can definitely feel how smoothly it applies.

Coverage and Shade: No coverage. It has a reddish tone.
I bought and used it once because the white cast of tone-up creams was annoying, but it ended up creating a fairly natural look. It gives a slight glow, and the natural, clean finish is a strength compared to foundations or BB creams. But it doesn't cover blemishes or acne. It's about the level of sun cream in terms of tone correction and coverage, with added color. I used the nude tone, and it matched well, perhaps because my neck is quite dark. My own face tone is a bit on the lighter side. So the shade is a bit dark. There is darkening, but it doesn't get overly dark because the shade is a bit dark to begin with. I don't like the uneven, egg-yolk-like makeup look, so I'm satisfied with this.

Lasting Power: I use it after sunscreen and primer, and then go over dark circles or spots with NARS concealer. Why? Because there's no coverage at all. And then I lightly dust on some powder and set it with a setting spray.
This way, the lasting power is quite good. I'm satisfied that it doesn't break down even when I get home from my morning commute. But it may vary depending on skin type. If you have a combination skin like mine, I'd recommend doing a simple, light, matte base.

In summary: If you want an extremely natural-looking expression and don't mind the lack of coverage, I'd recommend this. The application is easy, and the shade is vibrant, but there's no coverage.

I have combination skin with dehydration, so I apply this first and then lightly apply a powder-type foundation (bare minerals) or finishing powder on top... Unless you have extremely oily skin, using this method gives a healthy skin expression with a moderate glow without getting too shiny!

If you emphasize coverage, you may be disappointed by how natural it is...
And it's quite expensive ㅠㅠ

I mixed it with the MAC Pro Longwear NC30, and it made my face look completely dull and gloomy.
I switched to the 20 shade and mixed it, and it saved the Tint Moist that I was about to throw away.
The Tint Moist is usable on its own at home, but when mixed, it can create a very clean, flawless complexion without breaking down, which is great for light makeup days.
However, for full makeup looks, I don't use this base and opt for something else to achieve a brighter, more radiant look.
