Just an ordinary soap. Nothing particularly special about it. Doesn't lather up very well. This soap doesn't have any significant pros or cons. I had high hopes, but it's a bit disappointing. - si**********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedApr 28, 2021
Despite being a soap, it's mildly acidic, so it doesn't strip away essential elements, leaving your skin feeling neither too squeaky clean nor tight after cleansing. The scent is nearly fragrance-free, making it non-irritating and gentle even on blemish-prone areas without causing any tingling sensation. Just because it doesn't leave your skin feeling squeaky clean doesn't mean it lacks cleansing effectiveness. After washing, my skin that usually flushes easily shows less redness, and overall, my complexion feels more comfortable. It softens too quickly when wet. There's a limited variety of places to purchase it. While it's not weak in cleansing power, it's not strong enough to remove makeup or sunscreen effectively. The fragrance listed in the ingredients is disappointing. It seems like a pointless and potentially harmful addition, as the scent is barely noticeable. Bathrooms are often humid with frequent temperature changes, making them breeding grounds for bacteria. Though it's a bit of a hassle, I always store it in a sunny spot outside the bathroom and bring it in and out each time I wash. This has reduced how quickly it softens, making it feel less icky and wear down more slowly, ultimately improving its value for money. - Hwahae UserOily SkinRecommendedMay 16, 2020
This is my absolute favorite cleansing bar! It's truly amazing when you use it. Unfortunately, the soap is more sensitive to water than expected, so it wears down quite quickly. Just to be safe, I used it as my second step in my cleansing routine and it worked great! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMar 8, 2018
When I was in middle school, I had terrible acne. It kept coming back, from whiteheads to cystic pimples. I hated looking in the mirror. But then I started using the Sebamed Clear Face line, and wow, what a difference! I used the whole set - soap, toner, and emulsion. People around me were amazed at how my acne reduced and my skin brightened up (I was already fair-skinned, but the redness disappeared, making me look even brighter). It was such a comfort to my teenage heart! Now, as an adult, I don't break out as much, but I still get some blemishes before my period. I've switched to the Sebamed green soap, which is also great! I love that the entire Sebamed line is slightly acidic, which makes it even better for my skin. The scent is a bit medicinal...? Being a German product, it seems they focused solely on function rather than user experience or fragrance. But I just think of it as applying medicine to my troubled skin! I wasn't aware of the ingredients to watch out for, but when I checked on the Hwahae app, I found there were a few! Fortunately, they didn't seem to affect me. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinOct 4, 2017
I bought this after hearing about its good mild acidity. The only positive is that it's affordable. It simply had no effect whatsoever. I don't recommend it at all. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJun 12, 2017
This product is my absolute favorite! I stocked up on it in Europe where it's much cheaper. I started using it when I was struggling with stress-related blemishes, and nothing else seemed to help. I bought a ton of this soap in Germany. It's so much more affordable than in Korea, so I used it all over my body. What I love is that it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry after washing. While I can't say it single-handedly cleared up my blemishes, I feel it played a significant role among other efforts. Now I use it as my final cleansing step. On days when I use this, my skin feels less sensitive, which is why I keep coming back to it. At first, you might be surprised by the lack of lather, but using a foam net solves that. Remember, low pH cleansers typically don't foam much and feel a bit slippery. You'll get used to it. I use this after my foam cleanser. It's gentle enough for multiple uses, so I do a second cleanse with it and then roll the soap on my face like a mask. Instead of rinsing immediately, I leave it on for 5-15 minutes. Then, I gently massage it with damp hands before rinsing. This method seems to calm my skin faster, so I often use it this way. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 26, 2017
The cleansing effectiveness is decent, and it doesn't make my skin worse. After washing, it feels like I haven't really cleaned my face... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSep 29, 2016
It's truly gentle on the skin. I have acne-prone skin and have experienced tingling with other cleansing products, but with this one, I didn't feel any irritation whatsoever! Perhaps because it's so gentle, it doesn't give that squeaky-clean feeling. After washing, there's a sense of being not quite clean enough? Maybe I'm just too used to harsh chemical products... Other than that, no real complaints. While it doesn't lather much, you can get plenty of foam if you wet your hands thoroughly. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinMay 25, 2016
After using this product, I noticed a significant reduction in sebum production. Another advantage is that it's gentle on the skin with minimal irritation. It doesn't produce a lot of foam, but I wouldn't really consider this a major drawback. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinApr 25, 2016
It's gentle and nice. No irritation at all! The price is reasonable, and you can use it for a long time, which is great. The only downside is that it doesn't lather much, so it feels like it's not cleansing thoroughly. Of course, some say this is actually better, but...
