  Pros

  Lighter and more fragrant than Shu Uemura's cleansing oil. It seems to cleanse well, but you need to use quite a bit and rinse it off before it absorbs to avoid blemishes. However, that's true for most makeup cleansers, so it's not really a drawback. There aren't many cleansing oils that don't cause blemishes even when used this way, sadly. It doesn't cause deep dryness, nor does it feel heavy or suffocating. It's pretty decent. It removes even the most stubborn modern makeup in one go, so personally, I don't need to use a cleansing foam that strips away all my skin's hydration. It's a shortcut to skin recovery. Natural oils are too harsh and cause blemishes. They don't remove makeup well, don't emulsify properly, and feel heavy and suffocating. This oil deserves praise for breaking that cycle.

  Cons

  It's expensive. In terms of ingredients, there doesn't seem to be a cleansing oil with truly superior ingredients that can beat this level of cleansing effectiveness and lightness. Regardless of what people say about ingredients, the fact that it's not sticky, difficult to emulsify, or harsh actually makes this product's formulation better.

  Tip

  The container leaks easily. It keeps spilling, so I can only use it at home.

  Pros

  I'm loving my daily eye makeup routine with Laura Mercier eyeshadow, Etude House waterproof pencil liner, Urban Decay Moondust shadow, Shu Uemura Hard Formula brow mascara, and Clinique Lash Power mascara. The best part? I don't even need a separate eye makeup remover - this cleanser does an amazing job removing it all! It works hard without causing any blemishes for me. Absolutely fantastic!

  Cons

  The only downside is the price... Unless I can snag it duty-free, it might be tough to keep using it regularly.

  Tip

  I've gone through 3 bottles of Bobbi Brown, then 2 large bottles of Shu Uemura, and now I'm on my 3rd bottle of Make Up For Ever. For me, MUFE is the clear winner. My ranking goes: Make Up For Ever >> Bobbi Brown >>>>>>> Shu Uemura

  Pros

  First off, I prefer makeup that adheres well and has good staying power, and I tend to apply it quite heavily. This product really removes almost all makeup effectively! I use a separate remover for eyes and lips, then follow up with this oil cleanser, and it truly gets everything off. I have oily skin that's dehydrated, prone to blemishes, and susceptible to contact dermatitis. My skin is super sensitive, so I usually avoid oils. I once tried an oil that caused a breakout of blemishes. Plus, I was skeptical about only using this oil and rinsing with water, thinking it would feel uncomfortable. But I decided to give it a try, and surprisingly, there's no tightness or dryness after washing. I'm just grateful it hasn't caused any blemishes and I'm continuing to use it with satisfaction.

  Cons

  I wish they would change the oil pump design... It leaks around the opening. Other than that, I have no complaints!

  Tip

  Use a cotton pad to wipe it over your entire face, following the skin's texture. This removes the first layer of makeup. Then pump some into your hand, massage for about a minute, and rinse with water. For an extra refreshing finish, use a face gauze or sponge dampened with water to wipe once more before your final rinse. It leaves your skin feeling much cleaner and more refreshed.

  Pros

  I bought this while shopping for foundation. The price was steep, but it seems to last forever! No blemishes, and I love that I can cleanse with just water. When I wiped with a cotton pad, it was clean. It's made with natural oils, so I spread the word and all my friends bought it. But the harmful ingredients... sigh...

  Cons

  The pump gets messy around the opening even when it's off. And I really dislike the scent. When I rub my eyes with cotton to remove eyeliner, they get a bit cloudy... It all comes out like eye gunk, which is fine, but... The harmful ingredients... It doesn't control sebum at all, even though they said it would...

  This cleanser seems to do a really thorough job! I've been using it and haven't experienced any blemishes either.

  Cons

  There's a slight tightening sensation after use. If you have extremely dry skin, you might find it a bit drying.
