Pros
I find the texture very smooth. Those with dry skin would likely feel it is moisturizing. The Estee Essence line has basic brown bottles that focus on hydration, cell regeneration, and moisture supply. Then you can add products based on your specific skin concerns. I use the purple bottle Idealist line (the green bottle is for pores and even skin tone) and prefer the lighter Idealist during the day. When I want a natural, bare-faced look, I use the Perfectionist - it gives a soft, slightly blurred effect and temporarily minimizes the appearance of wrinkles. As a combination skin type, I can use the Essence alone with a moisturizer and don't experience dryness.
Cons
The downside is that it only hydrates the surface of the skin, without deeply penetrating. If you don't apply it carefully, it can feel heavy and problematic when applying makeup in the morning. It's generally safer to use Idealist during the day and Perfectionist at night, or to apply it in layers, allowing time for absorption. I only applied it under my eyes and on my neck as it seemed to be creasing elsewhere, but the finish is silky and the moisture retention is also good, so it's a rediscovery of Estee Lauder. It's wonderful when used only as an eye cream.
Cons
The problem is that this is not an eye cream... When applied to the face, it causes makeup to crease. I only used it when sleeping. And the price is out of this world.
Tip
If, like me, the heavy formula causes breakouts, but you can't help it due to wrinkles, then use this fellow as an eye cream.

The product has a nice glide and doesn't look greasy or shiny after application, leaving a clean and smooth finish. I'd describe the texture as silky.
Cons
It absorbs too quickly, so I can't spread it evenly before it's absorbed. Even though my face is on the smaller side, I have to apply it in sections and pump it a few times (around 3) to cover my whole face and neck. Considering the price, the amount is a bit lacking. After that, I usually have to apply a lotion or cream again before doing my makeup, which can be a hassle. Sadly, I only use it at night. The wrinkles haven't disappeared after 3 months, so I'll have to wait and see if the effects improve.
