As it's a solid formula, it provides better pore coverage compared to liquid types.
ConsYou need to control the application amount. If you apply it too thickly, it can slip. There may be a pore-clogging effect. Apply a small amount and pat it in with a puff. It may take some trial and error to get used to it and prevent slippage.
TipGently scrape a small amount from the top of the product with your fingernail, then use the warmth of your hand to spread it thinly and pat it in. Only apply it to the oily T-zone area.

ConsIt was a bit disappointing in terms of hygiene as it picked up a lot of dust.

It's not too bad to use it on oily skin either.
ConsThe application method is inconvenient. I'm not sure if it's a failure in quantity control, but I sometimes feel a bit stuffy as the product cakes and creases.
TipI'd rather apply it with my fingers.

ConsOther pores are not really covered. It seems to depend on the situation.

It's also convenient to carry around and the effects are good.
ConsA lot of dust gets stuck on the puff.. And when using it, it cracks and splits in various directions at night, which looks a bit unsightly..

The oil isn't to the point of bursting, but it does come up after about 5 hours. Even with the oil coming up, the makeup doesn't come off easily! It breaks down nicely. When using this primer, the Estee Lauder Double Wear, Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear, and MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation held up the best in order. It's also good for oil control. When I do my makeup, I go in the order of skin - moisturizer - primer - sunscreen - foundation (misting with a damp makeup sponge after).
ConsThe balm type inevitably attracts a lot of dust ㅠㅠ It's difficult to manage!
TipIt's better to use your fingertips to apply the sunscreen before the primer, rather than the built-in puff. Applying it in a counterclockwise direction also provides better coverage. And applying it in small amounts multiple times helps the makeup stay on better!

Personally, I've tried the Benefit Porefessional, Vanillaco Prime (the transparent pumping one), and they didn't provide any pore-covering effects at all. I also got suckered into buying the Peripera pore balm, which looked similar, but it didn't cover my pores either. The L'Oreal pore balm had good spreadability, but the pore-covering effect was not great. Out of what I've tried, the Kiss Me Skin Imitation pore balm was the most effective, but that was discontinued, so this is the closest I've found in terms of the same effect.
ConsCompared to other products, this has a decent pore-covering effect, but if you have very large pores, don't expect it to cover them perfectly. But then again, that's the case with any primer.
TipI don't use the built-in puff because it's inconvenient to apply and I'm not sure if it's any good. I threw the puff away. You can use a spatula or the back of your nails to pick up a pea-sized amount and apply it to the back of your hand, then gently dab and roll it onto the areas with larger pores, like the cheeks, nose, and between the brows. For reference, I apply this pea-sized amount to both cheeks, the nose, and the area between the brows. If you have fewer areas with large pores, you can use even less.

Classic Mat Primer. The effect of smoothing the skin is moderate. It doesn't completely cover the pores, but there is a noticeable difference between when I apply it and when I don't. It's a hydrating balm, but it's not overly moisturizing or drying... (based on my oily skin in the autumn weather of October) I don't feel like it's drying or flaking. I'll have to see how it does as it gets colder, but so far so good.
ConsWhen I bought this, the Hwahae app didn't show butylparaben in the ingredients. But when I looked at the full ingredient list on the box, it was there, just not listed on Hwahae. So I took a photo and requested an update on Hwahae. It's been corrected now. I won't repurchase this when I run out. The L'Oreal one has much better ingredients and reviews, so I'll get that next time. Clarins is also a contender. L'Oreal seems to have the best value-for-money based on the reviews. And don't even think about using the included puff! I've never used it - the quality is poor and it doesn't work well. I just gently dab it on with my fingertip when it's a little melted from my body heat.
TipI heard a tip from someone who does makeup professionally - don't apply it when you first do your makeup, use it for touch-ups instead. So I tried that, and you know what? Compared to applying it in the morning, when a bit of oil starts to come through and my pores start to show, gently melting a small amount between my fingers and patting it on those areas makes my skin look so much smoother. Then I just apply my foundation or powder on top, and the touch-up effect is great! I really recommend this method!

I heard it was originally ranked first on Getitbeauty, so I was using the Prime Primer, but then an employee recommended this to me. I was a bit skeptical at first, but since I have large pores, it covers them well and the makeup applies nicely. It may be different for everyone, but I used about three bottles of this.
ConsBut the one I used was more matte, not hydrating. That one has been discontinued, which is a bit disappointing. Also, when my skin condition is not great, the makeup can look patchy, so you need to have a solid skincare routine as well.
TipMake sure to have a solid skincare routine and only use this product in certain areas.

ConsThe puff inside doesn't apply well, it clumps up on the puff and doesn't spread evenly on my face. Other than covering the pores, it doesn't cover uneven texture well. As it's a night-time type, I found it inconvenient to use.
