This applies better than Benefit's Dr. Feelgood, so I mainly used it on my nose and around my cheeks where pores are larger. It's especially great for improving makeup longevity in summer. Being a solid formula, it covers pores better than liquid types. You need to control the amount carefully. Applying too thick can cause pilling. There's a slight learning curve to avoid pilling. Use a small amount, spread it thinly, and pat thoroughly with a puff. It may take some trial and error to get used to applying it without pilling. Scrape a small amount with your fingernail, warm it up with your body heat, then thinly spread and pat it in. I only apply it on the oily T-zone. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinFeb 2, 2017
I bought this along with the Prime Primer Classic. If you have sensitive or dry skin, I'd recommend going for the Prime Primer Classic instead. That one worked out pretty well for me. As soon as I applied this to my pores, it started itching like crazy... It felt like something was squirming inside my pores. Ugh... I bought it thinking it might provide thicker coverage, and while the coverage is good, the itching is unbearable. I used it once and ended up selling it to a friend. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAug 24, 2016
My skin is combination type, and my nose in particular has very large pores. It's not easy to make this area look the same as the rest of my face, but this product makes it possible. The application is matte. For the first layer, I use my hands to warm it up and apply, and for the second layer, I use the dedicated puff for better results. I've been using this product for two years, and I can't think of any particular drawbacks. After completing your makeup, when oil starts to appear on your nose in the afternoon and previously concealed pores become visible, lightly applying this primer balm on top refreshes your skin to look as good as it did in the morning. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinJul 21, 2016
I have fairly large pores, but since this is a balm-type primer, it seems to have covered my pores better than any other primer I've used so far! It was a bit disappointing from a hygiene perspective as it tends to attract a lot of dust. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMay 30, 2016
It does a decent job of covering pores. Even for oily skin types, it's not particularly problematic. The application method is a bit inconvenient. I'm not sure if it's due to poor amount control, but the BB cream tends to separate and pill, which can feel somewhat suffocating. You might be better off applying it with your fingers instead. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMay 29, 2016
It absorbs smoothly and is convenient to carry. It fits perfectly in my makeup pouch, so I can take it anywhere without hassle. I use it as a primer, but it doesn't seem to cover pores as well as I expected. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 6, 2016
The application is much smoother when applied with your hands instead of the built-in puff As someone with oily skin and large pores, even with heavy application it doesn't cover my pores and just makes my makeup pill - Hwahae UserOily SkinApr 7, 2016
If applied carefully, it can conceal small pores quite well, but it's best not to overdo it It doesn't really cover other pores effectively. The results seem to vary depending on the situation - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 19, 2016
It helps create a smooth skin appearance and seems to control excess oil It feels a bit thick and stiff. It's also somewhat inconvenient that you need a tool to apply it - qu**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinFeb 11, 2016
Compared to the liquid version, this has better coverage and absorbs better. It's also convenient to carry around and works effectively. The puff attracts a lot of dust. Also, as you use it, the compact cracks at night and splits in different directions, which doesn't look great.
