There's no darkening, and it adheres well to the skin for long-lasting wear. The slightly runny cream texture really clings to the skin. This product suffers from the chronic issue of BB creams - that ashy tone. While the cooling effect, absorption, adherence, and longevity are all satisfactory, the grayish cast makes you forget all those good points. It's incredibly moisturizing. I usually use a #21 shade, but it's not too dark and makes my skin look bright. The coverage is also good, and the amount is surprisingly generous, so it lasts a long time. When I wear this, I often get compliments about how nice my skin looks, and I've been using it for 3 years now~ There's nothing particularly bad, but it would be nice if the packaging was a bit sturdier and more attractive. My T-zone is oily, but my cheeks are dry, so I have combination skin. There is an essence that comes with the purchase, and when mixed and applied, it really makes the skin feel moisturized. Since the shade is not fixed, it was a bit dark for me who uses 21. If not applied with the essence, it might peel off the skin. Rather than throwing it away, you can mix it with a very bright foundation or BB cream. And don't apply it with your hands - it will 99.9% peel off. Use a damp sponge or puff, or if you absolutely can't find one, use the Skinfood wedge puff as a last resort.
