I received this as a gift and have been using it. The first thing I notice is that it brightens up my face! It does feel a bit sticky, but the hydration doesn't seem to last very long. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJan 6, 2019
1. Skin stays hydrated until the next morning 2. There's so much essence that you can apply it to your hands and neck and still have some left over 1. The mask's edges are a bit sharp (feels like the mask's borders aren't well-finished) 2. While some might call it moisturizing, those who dislike a gel-like texture might describe it as sticky There's so much essence that after using it on your face, you can flip the mask over and apply it to your neck too! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMar 23, 2018
It's affordable. I snagged 60 of these when they were on sale at duty-free... hmm... It stings so much as soon as you apply it. My mom felt the same way. And it drips down way too easily, so you have to lie down immediately after applying, which is inconvenient. But the stinging sensation is definitely the biggest issue. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJul 6, 2017
It's a gel mask and quite thin, so it adheres well to the skin which is great! When I checked Hwahae to write a review, I noticed the ingredients are gentle too, which is fantastic! While it's slightly pricier than regular masks, I think it's perfect for those times when your skin is really dry and you need a quick fix to improve your complexion. It's super hydrating, so your skin needs to absorb it well. Even though it's not marketed as a brightening product, I noticed it gave my skin a radiant look. I'll definitely keep using it in the future! Right after removing the mask, my face feels a bit uncomfortable. It's like having glue on your face, you know? Even after trying to absorb it, it doesn't seem to work well. Is it sticky because of the snail mucin? I think people with dry skin will really be reaching for this in winter. Don't get greedy - just leave it on for exactly 10 minutes before removing! - oi****Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDead Skin CellsMay 4, 2017
The fact that it's a gel mask? Just looking at the packaging makes you think it'll be incredibly hydrating. The moment you apply it, it stings, feels sticky, and doesn't adhere well. It's not even moisturizing, and when you remove it, the essence dries up and pills like dead skin cells... My skin immediately turned red and my dermatitis flared up terribly. Not using it at all - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 7, 2017
The mask feels so comfortable on the skin. It's neither too rich nor too drying. The only slight disappointment is that the mask size is quite tight. I wish it was just a bit larger. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJan 8, 2017
When blemishes are just starting to appear, this mask pack, like most others, provides a slight soothing effect. It's packed with essence, giving your skin a hydration boost. The snail extract doesn't seem to have the skin regeneration benefits as claimed. My mom had blemishes pop up the very next morning after using it, and now she won't even look at it. While everyone's skin reacts differently, for me it was just mediocre. I have zero intention of repurchasing. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinOct 15, 2016
Excellent for hydration and smoothing skin texture. The mask adheres well to the face. Nothing particularly bad, but there are 4 caution ingredients... Am I the only one who doesn't know? It's hard to tell which side is the front and which is the back. - mi*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinSep 20, 2016
Excellent for regeneration, brightening, hydration, and soothing the skin. It can be confusing at times as it's difficult to distinguish between the front and back sides of the mask. For best results, store any remaining essence in a container in the refrigerator and apply it later. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJul 31, 2016
I keep these stocked in my skincare fridge like bottled water, never letting them run out. They're incredibly hydrating and wonderful. When my complexion looks dull, I exfoliate dead skin cells and apply this mask. The next day, my skin has an Inner Glow! The price has gone up. It's expensive now. When I recommend it and mention it's $5, everyone's expression sours. $4 would be plenty... 1. Occasionally they're sold in packs of 10 at half price, so keep an eye out for those deals. I've even bought them at duty-free shops. 2. There's a right and wrong side to the mask. If you feel a tingling sensation, it could be due to the ingredients, but you might also have it on backwards. Since it's a gel mask, if you apply it upside down, the cut edges can be sharp and irritate your skin. If this happens, quickly remove it and reapply correctly. It should feel fine then (if it still tingles, it might be a reaction to the ingredients).
