It works much better when kept in the refrigerator.

While you can feel a temporary hydration and cooling effect, after a while, your skin becomes so dry it feels tight. Is this typical of aloe gel products? I never applied it to my face, just on my body. The cooling effect is also short-lived, leaving you feeling a bit uncomfortable afterwards.
