I loved the instant complexion brightening effect. Since it's applied like a cream, you don't have to worry about removing it like you would with sunscreen. Drawbacks... hmm... I can't really think of any to be honest! I've heard some people say it can feel a bit thick when applying. I find it works well if you apply it over a nourishing cream though. - yo********Combination SkinFeb 1, 2019
The amount is surprisingly generous. And as soon as you apply it, there's a subtle brightening effect that makes your face look more radiant. Rather than feeling moisturizing, it felt quite rich on my skin. By morning, I noticed the cream would pill. For some reason, I kept getting small blemishes like closed comedones. I don't think it's an issue with the ingredients, but rather the richness of the product. Instead of hydrating, it felt like it was just adding oil, making my face feel tight but not absorbing well, leaving a dry sensation. Honestly, I'm glad I didn't spend my own money on this and just received it for free. It works well as a neck cream. Especially when your face tone is slightly different from your makeup, applying this makes it look more natural. Also, when applied to the neck before bed, it seems to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Though this might just be my imagination. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 26, 2019
For the first few days, it applied smoothly with a milky finish. However, I had to stop using it due to side effects that caused a burning sensation on my face. I used it for a few days after working out, and my face completely broke out. I still have two bottles left, but I think I'll have to throw them away. - hs*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 25, 2018
Among all the brightening moisturizers I've tried, this one seems to be the best. It brightens my complexion and gives me confidence to go bare-faced. The skin-perfecting effect lasts longer than I expected, which is great. Everyone who uses this says their skin has improved. My face doesn't feel tight, and I'm on my nth bottle. I plan to keep using it for the foreseeable future. It's all good except that you can't apply it before bed. While the ingredients are gentle and nice, it contains titanium dioxide, a physical sunscreen ingredient, which makes it feel uncomfortable to sleep with. It's really great for calming redness after an evening workout when my skin is heated up, but then I have to wash it off before bed. Still, even if I get lazy once or twice and sleep with it on, it doesn't cause blemishes. I wouldn't do it every night though. Apart from that, I love everything else about it. If you apply it carelessly, it can leave a white cast. You need to gently massage it in for it to blend naturally with your skin. I once laughed at myself when I noticed it had settled into my smile lines. When you properly blend the capsules, it gives your skin a soft, bright appearance that evens out your complexion beautifully. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMay 31, 2018
A little goes a long way with this product. For better absorption, try mixing it with a bit of toner. They say it's okay to sleep with this on as part of your skincare routine, but I'm not entirely sure about that. I'll definitely repurchase. I wish it spread more smoothly on the skin. You need to apply a small amount and blend it well. The main drawback is the lack of sun protection, which is disappointing. - Hwahae UserOily SkinOct 8, 2017
It provides an immediate brightening effect. I apply a tiny amount mixed with my moisturizer, otherwise it can feel a bit dry. When applied with a moisturizer and given some time, it naturally evens out my skin tone. People often compliment me, saying my face looks bright and healthy. While the ingredients are noteworthy, be cautious with the amount you use. Applying too much can make you look ghostly pale. I highly recommend mixing a very small amount with your moisturizer for the best results. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAug 8, 2017
It applies naturally and doesn't provide coverage. My skin is oily, and it gets shiny over time. It's suitable for quick trips out. I've been using it because it brightens my complexion without feeling heavy, but lately, I've been looking for alternatives due to the rising price. It's good for light use. It's fine in other seasons, but it's too shiny in summer. Also, if you touch your face, it leaves marks. It's disappointing that the price is increasing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJul 18, 2017
It's better to apply a thin layer with a small amount rather than applying too much at once In summer, when you sweat due to the heat, it runs down in white streaks - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJun 17, 2017
My friend and I tried it together... It does make your complexion lighter and provides a bit of coverage. You'll definitely need to cleanse thoroughly after use! It's not really a skincare product though. It was fine for my friend, but as soon as I applied it, my skin started itching. My face turned red and I had an allergic reaction. I immediately returned it. I have sensitive, dry skin... If you have super sensitive skin, it's best to do a patch test before using this product. - sk*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinJun 10, 2017
I've been using this for a long time and I'm writing this review again. While the drawbacks are still present, with prolonged use, there are some subtle effects. Since it caused blemishes on my face, I applied it to my knees and other discolored areas of my body instead. There's definitely a noticeable brightening effect. To be honest, I can't really tell if it has any whitening effects or improves dark spots. But even putting that aside: - Severe pilling and separation (absolutely can't be used before makeup, and it's the same even when used alone) - It dries out the skin while also making it oily, creating a total mess - Poor absorption and unnaturally whitens the face It feels like I've overpaid for a subpar mineral sunscreen - After application, it severely emphasizes pores and dead skin cells I bought a large quantity from a home shopping channel, so I'm still using it out of necessity. I've tried many brightening moisturizers, but this is the worst, so I only use it at home. Even then, the brightening effect is minimal, so I'm just using it up because I can't bring myself to throw it away. If you apply it alone, you'll experience severe pilling and separation. I recommend using a puff dampened with face mist to pat it on, or mixing it with a moisturizing emulsion or cream when applying.
