Leaves a powdery finish. No darkening. Matched my skin tone perfectly. I absolutely hate sticky feelings when touching my face, but this one is just amazing - so soft and smooth. I recommend applying it with a makeup sponge rather than a brush for a flawless, skin-like finish. Even though I sweat a lot, it seemed to stay put well. While it's not waterproof, it doesn't come off easily - only a bit transfers when gently blotted with a tissue. It covers pores well without needing a separate pore-covering product. As someone who doesn't wear makeup often, I love how easy it is to pat on and go. There's no cushion version available. I'd buy it immediately if there was one in cushion form! The glass bottle is heavy, making it inconvenient for touch-ups on the go. Since it's not a sun protection product, you need to apply sunscreen underneath. Use a non-white cast sunscreen to avoid a cakey look. For an even better application, prep your skin with a suitable moisturizer first. I highly recommend using a makeup sponge over a brush. This matte and powdery product is especially great for oily and combination skin types rather than dry skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMar 1, 2018
I really loved how matte it was. It also matched my complexion well, making it look quite natural. It was fine at first, but if left on for too long, it darkens significantly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinApr 13, 2017
Soft and velvety! The Catrice foundation feels light and airy overall. Being a mousse foundation, it was easy to cover pores and imperfections! It feels slightly drying? Other than that, I can't think of any drawbacks~ Apply it in circular motions with the included brush, then gently pat with the brush at the end to blend away any harsh lines - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSep 18, 2016
I bought Catrice because it's one of the few well-known brands that offer color cosmetics while being cruelty-free. The foundation applies so thinly that it feels like your skin can breathe. While it's not particularly high coverage, it's perfect for those who prefer a natural makeup look. Even when it fades, it just gradually transitions to a bare-faced look. There's no darkening effect either. Unless you apply too many layers, it doesn't cake up or emphasize dead skin cells. The brush that comes with it is quite good quality and works well with the foundation. It's definitely a great product to have in your makeup collection. As I have combination dehydrated skin, it felt a bit dry on my cheeks. You might need to apply a solid base beforehand. Other than that, I didn't have any issues, but looking at the ingredients list, I was disappointed to see so many parabens. That's quite a letdown. The brush that comes with it applies the foundation thinly and transparently. If you use a puff instead, it adheres better to the skin and provides more coverage. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinNov 6, 2015
As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I use this year-round except in winter! Before, if I applied foundation incorrectly, it would flake around my mouth or my T-zone would get excessively oily and shiny. But since using this, there's no flaking, and my skin has just the right amount of healthy glow. I apply it with a brush, which creates an incredibly thin layer, yet it provides adequate coverage. Being a matte formula, it leaves my skin feeling fresh without needing to set it with powder! I've probably gone through about five bottles, and it's so good that I've added it to my holy grail list! I highly recommend this for those with oily skin! The downsides are that it's not widely available in stores, so you often have to purchase it online, and being a mousse texture, you need to apply it with a brush. For brushes, I recommend checking out the makeup brushes from Olive Young or Aritaum! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSep 9, 2015
This is my holy grail foundation! I love everything about it - the finish, coverage, lasting power, and color payoff. While I understand the jar packaging is likely due to the formula, it's still challenging to maintain hygiene with this type of container. I applied this right after my sunscreen, and it adhered beautifully. It seems to pair exceptionally well with my sun protection, creating a seamless layer. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinApr 15, 2015
Although it may seem like it won't provide good coverage, when you actually apply it, it spreads thinly but evens out most blemishes! And of course, the fact that it doesn't get oily means it has great staying power. It applies nicely and thinly with a brush. There's nothing particularly bad... While I do get some blemishes, I think that's more due to my menstrual cycle rather than the cosmetic product itself. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMar 24, 2015
When applied properly, it seemed to suit my face well. For those with dry skin, especially in winter, you need to thoroughly moisturize first. Apply this when your skin is well-hydrated, otherwise it can feel a bit clumpy. You'll need to take your time spreading it evenly. - Hwahae UserOily SkinJan 17, 2015
For my oily skin, this is the best foundation I've used so far. It has strong staying power and doesn't darken! Being a matte product, it doesn't break down and lasts quite a long time without my makeup falling apart! It's a bit too matte for winter use... If your skin becomes slightly dehydrated, it can look patchy. Also, being a matte product, it's disappointing that it's hard to control the amount when applying. Applying with a brush first and then patting it in with your hands seems to increase its adherence to the skin! - im*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinNov 7, 2014
The convenience of using just one product instead of applying foundation and powder separately, with a powdery, matte finish. It's also reasonably priced. Easy to apply makeup, even with fingers. The texture feels like spreading cheesecake on your skin. It doesn't cake up when layered. You can even apply it over other foundations without it looking unnatural. It also provides some coverage. The included brush set has a poor feel (causes tingling) and sheds easily. The shade runs a bit dark (those who use shade 21 should opt for shade 3). If your skin isn't perfectly smooth like an egg, it can actually make your complexion look worse. When applied over blemishes, it severely accentuates texture. There's also a risk of pilling, which can make your skin look even more uneven. Plus, the ingredients aren't as good as expected. Above all, the way it breaks down is really unattractive. It truly disintegrates, leaving your skin looking dreadful. There's also some darkening of the skin. If you've done a full face of makeup and it's slightly worn off in some areas, you can touch up those spots with this for a natural-looking cover. It's undetectable! No need for powder. For strong coverage, using your hands or an air cushion puff is recommended, though it may apply a bit thick and there could be some pilling. Since it's definitely a product with some coverage, I'd suggest using the product's dedicated brush rather than your hands or an air puff as mentioned above. It applies lightly and evenly. Recommended for those with minimal texture or pores.
