If you're new to eyeliner, you might find brush-type liners challenging. That's why I suggest trying this easier pencil-type eyeliner instead.
ConsThe downside is that it smudges more than expected, and the liner tends to break. Also, the tip is a bit blunt, making it difficult to draw thin lines.

I just use it a few times when I feel like it. Still, the good thing about it is that it's easy to use. The color payoff is intense too. It's not bad as a practice eyeliner.
ConsIt's too matte... It applies well, but it clumps up a bit on the skin. Moreover, it doesn't come off easily even with makeup remover, so I had to really scrub hard. After 30 minutes, when I rubbed my eyes, it all smudged. It looked like I had done smokey eye makeup.

ConsIt breaks so easily! It crumbles while sharpening, and even the sharpener at the end of the pencil broke, rendering it unusable. It also smudges a lot. Personally, I wouldn't recommend it.
TipOh, here's a tip: apply some powder to your eyelids before using it, and it won't smudge as much!

Since the Tony Moly Black Gel was painful and had poor ingredients, I tried using this for eyeliner instead. No concerning ingredients like mica or silica, or any questionable colorants visible. The application is decent. On the back of my hand, it looked very dark, but when applied to the eyes, it's a bit lighter - more like diluted ink than deep black. It goes on like a drop of black paint in water. It doesn't dry immediately, so it's easy to correct with a toner or mist-soaked cotton pad. Might be fairly user-friendly for beginners. I have almost monolids, but the area near my lashes folds slightly, making them appear almost double-lidded. The liner didn't smudge or clump in the folded area, staying as initially applied.
ConsAfter 3-4 hours, one eye corner slightly smudged, possibly due to eye moisture. The blunt tip makes it difficult to draw sharp lines. The sharpener at the end comes off easily, making it easy to lose. After 11 hours, both eye corners severely smudged. It comes off easily with just a swipe of makeup remover. This could be good or bad... It's fragile and might already be broken inside due to impact. + 09.23 Within about 3 hours, both eyes severely smudged down to under the eyes. Seriously, what do you all use this for? As a writing utensil? Today I even applied a small amount of eye cream in the morning, but it still smudged this much. Does this mean smudging is expected before you even use it? Where are we supposed to use this? Do they think it's okay to smudge excessively just because it's not waterproof?

Glides on smoothly 2. Incredibly creamy texture 3. Easy application
ConsEtude House Play Pencil #1 Cons: 1. As seen in additional photo 2, the sharpener is missing, and the lead falls out very easily 2. Smudges excessively and wipes off too easily 3. One light rub leaves a dark smear I don't recommend this product.

It comes in a variety of colors and is thin, making it convenient to carry around.
ConsIt smudges heavily and wears off too easily. For oily skin, you'll end up with dark, smudged eye makeup without fail. While it's cheap, the excessive smudging makes it hard to call it a good product.
TipYou can use the smudging to your advantage by gently rubbing with your finger to create a sharp cat-eye effect. It's easy to adjust your eye shape with this.

I bought one for myself and one for a friend for just $6 each. It's really great and applies smoothly!
ConsIt's decent if you don't extend the tail, but it smudges under the eyes when you fill in the waterline. I apply it in the morning, but by lunchtime, it's already faded...

It draws well for its price point. Most importantly, it looks natural when applied, and it's much easier to use than a brush pen. The waterproof feature is an added bonus. Being a pencil makes it easy to draw with!
ConsIt's inconvenient that you need to sharpen it frequently with a pencil sharpener. Also, product tends to smear around the sharpener, so you have to clean it off with a wet wipe. There's also a bit of smudging.
TipUsing an eye primer before applying helps reduce smudging. I recommend buying it during a sale or using a pink pass for a better deal.

Since I heard pencils are easier for beginners, I bought this affordable and seemingly good option. When I tried it on my hand, it glided on smoothly and the color was nice. It's comfortable to apply, and there's a sharpener at the end so you can sharpen it anywhere. The application is great, I'd buy it again, and it has excellent smudge-proof quality.
ConsIt smudges a bit too easily and comes off rather quickly. It can be wiped away with just a swipe of your finger. While that can be convenient at times, it's not very resistant to sweat or water.
TipYou can prevent smudging by lightly patting some oil-control powder under your eyes and around the eyeliner area!
