I received this as a gift from my girlfriend and tried it because I liked the scent. The fragrance is quite pleasant.

Although it's called an 'aftershave cream', I believe it can be used before or after shaving, by men or women - as long as it suits your skin. If it doesn't work for your face, you can always use it on your hands or body.

It might feel a bit heavy for those with oily skin, especially during summer.

The scent is similar to L'Occitane's Shea Butter Hand Cream, but it's a bit more subtle, making it suitable for facial application. The texture is slightly thicker than L'Occitane's hand cream. I've borrowed it from my boyfriend several times after washing my face (when I was feeling lazy), and it didn't cause any blemishes. The formula seemed to help create a protective barrier on the skin!

After application, it leaves the skin feeling greasy, so I wouldn't recommend it for those with oily complexions.

Since I have a fairly thick beard, I shave in the morning before going to work, but by the evening, a dark stubble grows back.
My skin gets quite damaged from shaving every day, so I apply an aftershave containing alcohol to my cotton pad to disinfect and smooth my skin, then I spread on the Kiehl's Aftershave Balm.
This product has been the best among the ones I've used so far - it provides excellent moisturization, and my skin recovers better the next morning before I shave again, so the damage is significantly reduced. I now apply a generous amount of it daily.
