Pros This product really makes me feel the elasticity in my skin.
When I pump it, only a tiny amount comes out, but that tiny bean-sized amount is enough to cover my eye area and cheeks. Since it has an essence-like texture instead of a thick cream, I can spread it thinly over my cheeks and laugh lines.
Surprisingly, my face feels a bit more plump and firm the next day after using this. That's why I pump it once for the eye area and cheeks, and once for my neck.
Even though I'm still in my 20s, my skin isn't that great for my age. My elasticity is already decreasing, and I have deeper wrinkles rather than fine lines (especially on my laugh lines and neck... I actually don't have many fine lines around my eyes, but the laugh lines and neck wrinkles are really deep and severe). But this product makes my skin's elasticity remarkably better.
I'm not sure about the effects on fine lines since I don't have many, but to be honest, my deep laugh lines and neck wrinkles haven't improved significantly. However, when I wake up the next day after using this, I'm really surprised by how much more elastic my skin feels.
Cons To be honest, I was really satisfied with this product and used it for several months. But when I recently checked the ingredients on the Hwahae app, I'm quite disappointed with the ingredients.
It starts with common ingredients like purified water, glycerin, and then suddenly the fourth ingredient is denatured alcohol... along with phenoxyethanol, triethanolamine, and PEG.
I've never even heard of triethanolamine before, and apparently it can cause eye-related issues, which is concerning since this is an eye serum.
Ugh... after seeing these ingredients, I'm not sure if I can continue using this product. But then again, it's been discontinued, so I guess it's a moot point.
I'm not the type of person who absolutely refuses to use any product with potentially harmful ingredients. If a product works well for me, I'm usually willing to use it. But seeing these questionable ingredients in this product makes me feel really uneasy about using it.
I'm just wondering how this product could have such great effects with these kinds of ingredients...
It's true that this was an expensive product, and I really did love using it, which is why I repurchased it. But now, looking at the ingredients, I'm just... ugh. It's really disappointing that such a great product has such poor ingredients.
Tip Even though the ingredients are a bit concerning, I would still recommend trying this product if you're open to it. The product itself is really good.
Since it's been discontinued, you might be able to find it if you search around. I bought mine just about two months ago from Olive Young. Looking on Naver, it seems there are still some places selling it. I'm going to think it over, but I'm conflicted on whether I should buy it again after seeing the ingredients.
