The cooling effect is fantastic! When I apply it before makeup, my foundation goes on smoothly and my skin stays hydrated. It really enhances the overall makeup application. Unfortunately, it's not in a tube, which makes it a bit tricky to keep clean. I've noticed dust getting into the product, which is a concern.

I received this as a free gift, not a purchase, and I was amazed by its unique texture when I first tried it. After using it several times, I didn't notice much difference. First off, I love that it comes in a generous size. It's like a well-behaved product that just gives you hydration and then disappears. True to its veggie pack name, it's incredibly moisturizing! This product has amazing adherence! When I use it before bed, my skin feels incredibly hydrated the next morning! It's also excellent for calming redness during summer and soothing blemishes. While some masks can aggravate skin conditions, this one provides a gentle cooling effect and noticeable soothing benefits, likely from ingredients like Centella Asiatica extract. The soothing gel texture is perfect for those who prefer gel-type products. I think it's an excellent mask for oily skin types too. It can be a bit challenging to wash off completely. The generous amount and rich hydration are beastly good! Zero irritation, which is fantastic. It's so moisturizing and there's plenty of product, perfect for slathering on generously every day. When applying, it has a tendency to clump together, which might cause some drops to fall on the floor. You can mix it with a drying mask, like a volcanic ash pack, to extend the wear time of the drying mask.

So refreshing! I used it often in summer, but hadn't reached for it in winter. Today, I finally used it again and thought I'd write a Hwahae review. It's great for frequent use during the summer months. Isn't ethanol more about evaporation than hydration? Also, while it was fine in summer, now that it's winter, it stings my face a bit. The only real advantage is the generous amount, but that's about it. It's not great for combination dehydrated skin. When applied, it stings my face... I imagined it would feel cool and smooth, but despite being a gel, it's thick and causes a tingling sensation. I've put it in the fridge, hoping to use it on my body since it's a waste, but I'm not sure if I'll even end up using it. I wouldn't recommend buying this in the first place. They were selling it in bulk at a discount, but instead of getting multiple of these, save your money and get the Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera Gel instead.
