This was an extremely innovative product. Although there are now a wide variety of liquid highlighters available from various brands, when the Stila Liquid Highlighter was first introduced, its golden-toned highlight was truly one-of-a-kind. I remember that the Stila packaging back then was all paper, which was quite different from the current more elegant, lightweight, and affordable plastic packaging (though the Korean prices were higher than direct imports at the time). The paper packaging was more environmentally friendly, but now Stila seems to be moving towards a more metallic-looking plastic line, and has even created a secondary brand with paper packaging. However, the brand's founding philosophy does not seem to have been easily forgotten, as Stila has shifted to a more premium line while the secondary brand appears to have taken on the previous Stila motto. Still, the secondary brand can't quite match the nostalgia of the original Stila. Back then, the Stila Talking Palette with a speaker inside the paper casing was such a unique and delightful product. When the Benefit High Beam was the only option, this Stila highlighter was great at giving the face a sophisticated look, as the white-toned highlighters tend to be unflattering on Asian complexions. This highlighter blended beautifully with yellow-based foundations.

Oh, I see. The packaging design has changed, and the previous star-shaped packaging was cuter. The current design looks too serious - I don't like serious-looking cosmetic packaging, it brings down my mood. 😞

Mixing the highlighter and foundation on the back of your hand first, then applying the highlighter to the high points of the face (forehead, nose bridge, nose tip, C-zone, upper lip, and chin center) and the foundation to the rest of the face, can create a really radiant and defined base. Stila seems to have a solid lineup, from the basic base products to the more glamorous daily color cosmetics and even cleansers. Their products are reasonably priced, which is why their retail stores are gradually decreasing (+_+;;). They also don't release new products excessively, but only what's truly necessary. While drugstore brands have been doing well lately, I think having a Stila lineup can provide great satisfaction. It's a good brand for those who don't want to buy too many different products and prefer a more unified (e.g. palette-based) cosmetic routine, especially for beginners. Their sales events in December and January on their official website are said to be quite remarkable.
