This product was truly revolutionary. When Stila's liquid highlighter first hit the market, it was unrivaled as a golden-toned highlight, despite the plethora of liquid highlighters available now. I remember when all of Stila's packaging was paper - personally, I loved it. While the current packaging might be prettier, the old version was lighter, cheaper, and more environmentally friendly. It's a shame they've moved away from that. Stila has now created a second brand with paper packaging, showing that their founding principles haven't completely disappeared. The original Stila line has become more high-end, while this new line aimed at teenagers seems to carry on the original Stila ethos. Still, I miss the old Stila a bit. (They even had a Talking Palette with a speaker inside the paper box - so innovative and fun!) This product really elevated your complexion, especially when Benefit's High Beam was the only alternative. I don't recommend highlighters with a white base for Asian skin tones, but this one pairs perfectly with yellow-based foundations. No real downsides. The packaging design has changed - the previous star shape was cuter. The current design feels too serious. (I dislike overly serious cosmetic packaging, it dampens my mood.) For a radiant yet defined base, try mixing the highlighter with foundation on the back of your hand, then apply to highlight zones (forehead, bridge and tip of nose, C-zone, above lips, center of chin). Apply regular foundation to the rest of your face. Stila offers a comprehensive range from base products to vibrant daily colors and cleansers. Their line is consistently good quality, follows classic principles, and is relatively reasonably priced (which might explain why their stores are decreasing). They don't constantly churn out new products, only releasing what's truly necessary. While many road shop brands are improving, having a Stila collection can be very satisfying. It's a great brand for beginners or those who prefer a unified look from a single palette. Their December/January sales on the official website are also quite impressive!
