I always thought Sulwhasoo was a brand for older folks, but after seeing the promo for this product, I couldn't resist giving it a try! Unlike their previous cushions with limited shade options, this one comes in a variety of colors - how exciting! While it's not a miracle worker for coverage or hydration, it's a solid, reliable product that gets the job done. The best part? It wears beautifully throughout the day. I suppose it's Sulwhasoo's signature style, but the packaging is a tad... well, you know. - bb*****Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 8, 2018
Out of all the cushions I've tried - Yves Saint Laurent, Estée Lauder, Hera Black, and Clio Kill Cover - this is my absolute favorite! It's the best in terms of coverage, hydration, and staying power. It truly works hard in all aspects! The puff doesn't seem to fully absorb the cushion formula. It feels like it's only applying product from the surface. Also, for those with fair skin tones, take note - I usually wear shades 15-17, and shade 21 is too dark for me. However, even the lightest shade 13 in this cushion seems to run a bit dark. Keep this in mind when selecting your shade! - cy******Normal SkinRecommendedJun 25, 2018
It applies smoothly, leaving a slightly dewy and clean finish. Even with multiple layers, it doesn't cake and blends well. The shade matches my complexion perfectly, giving a very natural look. Usually, when I use shade 21, it brightens my skin tone a bit, but this one matches my complexion exactly. There's no brightening effect. It has a slight glow, but if you layer it, it becomes quite shiny. It doesn't cause any tightness on the face and feels moisturizing, though it seems a bit rich in oils. Disappointed by the lack of tone evening. I'll need to use a brightening moisturizer as a base before applying this. - io*****Combination SkinRecommendedMay 29, 2018
For a compact powder, it has excellent coverage and is incredibly moisturizing, which I absolutely love. It's a product I want to use sparingly. Highly recommended! It's expensive... so pricey that I'll have to welcome it through duty-free shopping!! - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedMay 21, 2018
It brightens the complexion and covers dark spots effectively. The lightweight texture makes it easy to apply. The only downside is that the amount is quite small, so you'll need to replace or refill it frequently. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedMay 8, 2018
As someone with dry skin and quite severe redness, I've been searching for a product with good coverage and hydration. This cushion is absolutely amazing! Usually, any product I apply ends up looking patchy later, but this one truly doesn't budge. Being a student, the price of this product is quite steep for me. Unless I really splurge, I probably won't be able to purchase it often. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 23, 2018
The best thing is that I can keep using it without any blemishes appearing. I'm sorry, but that's really the only positive I can think of... It's a bit drying and the coverage is somewhat lacking. It's just an average product to use. There's nothing that makes me go 'Wow, this is amazing!' I apply a sheet mask or slather on plenty of moisturizer before using this. That way, when I pat on the cushion during makeup, it glides on smoothly! - Hwahae UserDry SkinFeb 16, 2018
The coverage was excellent and the scent was pleasant. One thing I really appreciate about Amorepacific products is that they offer generous quantities compared to other high-end brands. Well... I usually use shade 21, but I read online that this cushion runs darker than others. So I bought shade 13, which turned out to be a mistake. It has a yellow base, and I prefer pink-based foundations. I won't be repurchasing. Let's be careful when choosing the right shade! - me******Normal SkinFeb 13, 2018
It leaves the skin feeling moisturized and smooth. I mix it with Lirikos and Sulwhasoo to neutralize the yellow undertone. As someone with a cool skin tone, I never thought I could use Korean makeup. Unfortunately, this cushion disappoints in terms of color. Even the lightest shade appears yellowish on me, which is a letdown. Try using a pink-based product or a highlighter to balance the tone. - do*****Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityDec 27, 2017
I bought the newly renovated version. I've tried all kinds of cushions, from high-end to budget-friendly, and I was recently using Bobbi Brown, but the coverage was lacking and it became dry in winter. After some research, I thought the Perfecting cushion might be good, so I gave it a try. First off, its hydration is truly top-notch. It has just the right amount of richness for dry and combination skin types, making your skin feel comfortable. The coverage is good, but interestingly, it doesn't cover freckles and dark spots very well. It does a great job with blemishes, evening out skin tone, and reducing redness, but I still need to use concealer for the dark spots under my eyes. As for the shade, definitely go one shade lighter than usual! I usually use shade 21 in other cushions, but even shade 13 in this one isn't too light. As I mentioned above, despite its good coverage, it doesn't hide freckles and dark spots. Be careful not to layer it too much as it can cake up - just use concealer for those areas and apply the cushion in a thin layer. Honestly, I don't think it's as amazing as the price suggests. These days, even affordable cushions are quite good... It's nice that it's hydrating, and if you're someone who doesn't want to use cheaper options and is in a splurging mood, it might be worth trying once. This isn't really a pro tip, but the case is pretty and slim.
