It has a viscous brown texture with a subtle floral scent - the fragrance is lovely. Being an oil foam, I thought the lather would be weak, but it's actually rich and abundant. I have atopic, very dry skin, and since it's an oil foam, my skin feels quite moisturized even after cleansing. As for cleansing effectiveness, I'm not sure about makeup removal, but it does a great job of removing sunscreen. I didn't find any downsides, so I repurchased it. I was actually surprised to see its rating in the 3-point range, given its ingredients. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 31, 2020
When it comes to removing makeup, oil cleansers are always the first step, right? I've been using them consistently, and compared to other oil cleansers, this one lathers up nicely. The 'Royal Caviar' name makes it feel luxurious, which is a nice bonus. Its cleansing effectiveness is really impressive! Like most oil cleansers, this one comes in a pump bottle. The issue is that if any cleanser gets around the opening, it hardens. So the next time you use it, you end up cleansing with these hardened bits. It's not ideal... but to be fair, this seems to be a common problem with all oil cleansers. Using it with the included brush makes the cleansing even more effective. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAug 24, 2019
My girlfriend always gifts me this because she says it's convenient, and I've been using it for over a year now. It's so handy that I don't need to wash my face twice with other cleansers. Using this twice does the trick perfectly. It also lathers up well, making me feel like it's cleaning thoroughly. After washing, my skin feels dry. While this seems to be the case with all foam cleansers, I find myself reaching for my toner immediately after rinsing. I keep my toner in the bathroom so I can apply it right away. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 3, 2019
The fragrance is lovely. And the cleansing effectiveness isn't bad at all! It's not perfect on its own, so I use a cleansing water first before using this. (When used alone, it occasionally leaves a bit of residue...). I love how it lathers well and feels gentle on the skin! The previous version worked fine for me, but after switching to this one, I had a massive breakout... I guess it's because it contains oil, which doesn't agree with my skin... Double cleansing is necessary - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 30, 2019
Here's my review after purchasing it myself! I bought the set which came with a built-in brush. The brush is incredibly soft. As for the oil foam, while I'm not sure about its cleansing effectiveness, the fragrance is so lovely that I want to keep smelling it. The lather is average, and there's no tightness after washing my face. It doesn't remove certain waterproof mascaras very well. To be fair, those types of mascaras are hard to remove even with other cleansing foams. I'd recommend buying this when it's on sale. It's best to use this as a second step in your cleansing routine, after using an initial cleanser. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 26, 2018
My mom bought the Vitamin Oil Foam and Royal Caviar Oil Foam from a home shopping channel, which is how I discovered this product. It's fascinating how it starts as an oil but lathers up like a cleansing foam when you add water. I was intrigued and decided to give it a try. Despite having sensitive, acne-prone skin, I experienced no irritation at all. There was also no tightness after cleansing, so I've been using it consistently ever since. It's definitely a product I'm satisfied with! I found it a bit disappointing in terms of its ability to dissolve dead skin cells and sebum. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinJan 6, 2018
It lathers well after applying oil and seems great for daily cleansing. I'm enjoying the refreshing feeling it gives. Using it with the dedicated brush seems even more effective, so I'm quite satisfied! The quantity is a bit disappointing considering the price. As for cleansing with my eyes open like they do on home shopping channels, it was too stinging for me. Using it with the dedicated brush creates a nice lather and seems to clean every nook and cranny well, which I find really good. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 24, 2017
I was happy to purchase it cheaply from a home shopping channel. It also included a pack, ampoule, and vibrating cleanser. At first, it felt dense and when I washed my face with water, it lathered well and effectively removed my makeup. It seems like I didn't even use it for a full week, but my face immediately showed signs of reaction. I have a combination and sensitive skin type, and I ended up with one pimple on the side of my nose, one on the right side of my chin, and three clustered under my left lip. I really struggled with this. It's been over a month since I stopped using it, but my face is still blotchy and irritated. It seems like this product just doesn't agree with me. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinDec 27, 2016
A small amount is enough to produce a good lather, and your face feels soft after washing. The hazardous ingredients have been reduced compared to the vitamin oil foam, but it would be better if they were reduced even further. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinNov 8, 2016
I have been using this product consistently for nearly 3 years now. I have been purchasing it through home shopping channels, and while the advertisements promise a lot of lather and radiant skin improvement, I haven't experienced significant skin benefits. However, it doesn't cause any tightness or breakouts, so it's been a pleasant enough product to use. It's like having a reliable friend by your side, not flashy but steadily there for you. I was going to give it five stars, but I had to deduct one due to the presence of harmful ingredients. This product may not be sufficient for those with oily skin or after heavy makeup application. So I first use this to remove my makeup, and then follow up with a foam cleanser for a second cleansing step. I once heard from a beauty YouTuber that oil cleansers and foam cleansers have different purposes - oil cleansers help dissolve impurities, while foam cleansers assist in easily rinsing away the dissolved dirt and oil.
