I bought it to mix into my foundation or use as a highlighter. Using just a small amount as a highlighter works better than mixing it in. I want to use just a small amount, but it's really hard to control the amount. Also, the pearls are quite large. When I apply it on its own, it feels a bit drying. Apply a pink blush and then layer this on top for a lovely pink beam! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJul 30, 2016
The pink pearl base definitely makes it look more lively and radiant!!! It also doesn't smudge!!! The pumping.....that darn pumping is the problem. When I pump it once, too much comes out, and I always want to collect the leftovers after using it. - bs****Dry SkinMay 6, 2016
The formula contains fine pearl particles, not large ones, so it gives a subtle, luminous glow when applied before or mixed with foundation. You'll often hear people say your skin looks radiant and glowing, especially in natural lighting. While it may not be as highlighted as using a highlighter, applying it to the T-zone or cheekbone area can create a sense of dimension thanks to the pearlescent effect. 1) The pumping mechanism is as difficult as the name suggests...no matter how much you press, the right amount just doesn't seem to come out...whether too much or too little. 2) It barely helps with color correction. Pumping it out too much results in too much product on the face. Even with just a small amount applied to the forehead, nose bridge, front of the cheekbones, and chin, the skin will still have a nice, luminous glow. - sh*****Combination SkinMar 16, 2016
The pearly, swirling pink base makes it beautiful when mixed with foundation, and just applying it to the areas that need highlighting gives a radiant look. I've heard from those around me that my skin looks glowing. But when I went to buy the Yves Saint Laurent cushion foundation, I was told it's a limited edition and is no longer available... As everyone says, the pumping mechanism is not well-controlled... Even with just one pump, half of it gets wasted... 1. Mix a small amount of the serum foundation and apply it. 2. After applying the foundation, lightly dab a small amount of highlighter on the high points of your face. Doing this will make your skin look brighter and more radiant!! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJan 22, 2016
Hmm... The color is really pretty. When mixed with the Yves Saint Laurent serum foundation, it gives a radiant look. The pearlescent effect is also quite nice. Ugh... The price... Honestly, I don't think I can justify spending 70,000 won on this. If you apply too much, your face can look cakey, and it's hard to get the right amount. Also, the pearlescent finish gets covered up when you apply the foundation. Apply only a tiny amount to the highlighting areas. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinJan 20, 2016
To be honest, apart from the pearly glow, I couldn't really feel any special difference. Half of my face was applied properly, while the other half was not. I tried applying makeup. And indeed, there was a clear difference. The properly applied side looked much smoother and brighter. Everyone talks about this pump. You're supposed to apply it lightly for a natural pearly effect, but too much of it always ends up on the back of my hand, which I then have to wipe off. When I wipe it off, it leaves pigmentation on the back of my hand... There are reddish marks left behind. And sometimes, it even causes me to break out in pimples. It seems to irritate my skin a bit. I won't be repurchasing this. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 2, 2016
It has one distinct advantage - the abundant micro-pearls make it look absolutely radiant when hit by light. The formula is quite clear, so it might be difficult to even out the skin tone... I absolutely love Yves Saint Laurent, but I probably won't repurchase this one. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 19, 2015
The color payoff is true to the pink pearl shade and looks beautiful. However, it seems like proper base makeup application is necessary for the longevity of the look. Especially for my oily skin type, I found that using a primer and base is essential for the color to be nicely expressed. I'm a bit concerned that the pigment may not be the most skin-friendly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinNov 15, 2015
The pink gold pearl shimmers When used as a base, the whole face sparkles When used as a highlighter, just that area shimmers (I use the Yves Saint Laurent Ink Fusion, and the Ink Fusion has a fluffy, finishing texture, so I mix a small amount into the foundation and apply it only to the nose and chin) The pump is a bit stiff, so you need to be careful when trying to dispense a small amount at a time - el*******Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsFeb 28, 2015
The liquid type features a subtle baby pink pearl base with a moderate amount of gold shimmer. While Benefit's Moonbeam color is pretty, the pink pearl was not very visible after application, which was disappointing. However, this product makes the overall look more radiant. Typically, pink pearl makeup bases or highlighters have a reddish pink pearl, but this one has more of a baby pink pearl feel, making it look fresher and brighter. 1. The price is ㅠㅈ ㅠ 2. The pumping action is a bit stiff, making it difficult to control the amount. As this is a high-end product, it's a struggle to dispense just the right tiny amount, often resulting in tears ㅠㅂ ㅠ. It seems to always dispense the full recommended amount when pumped. 3. The ingredient list indicates that the red color components have carcinogenic risks, which is worrying, but giving up the pink tone is also disappointing ㅠㅇ ㅠ. 1. Applying a small amount gives a subtle effect, and you can build up the pink pearl by using more. 2. After absorption, it has a slightly drying feel, so those with dry skin types may need additional moisturizing in the base or foundation step.
