Even though I have oily skin, I always apply this before bed. I'm currently focusing on skincare rather than wearing makeup, and I've noticed my skin feels smoother when I layer this emulsion for hydration followed by the oil. I plan to keep using it. While it's on the pricier side, I've settled on just using camellia oil instead of various other products. So, the cost doesn't feel too burdensome anymore. - hp********Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 18, 2024
Leaves skin hydrated, doesn't cause blemishes. Conquered under-eye wrinkles with this! Eye creams are useless in comparison. For dry skin, face oil is the ultimate solution. It's an oil product, so it can make skin feel oily. That's the only downside. I carried it in my bag and applied it whenever my skin felt dry. - da***********Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedDec 10, 2023
The camellia oil made in Tongyeong, South Korea is absolutely top-notch! I started using it on recommendations from locals when we moved south due to my husband's job. It's genuinely versatile and easy to use. Even when I get bored and try other products, I always come back to this. It's the only face oil that doesn't cause any blemishes on my skin! If you've visited their website to buy this, you'll know what I mean - it's incredibly, unbelievably old-fashioned! The bottle packaging... oh my, it looks like my mom's cosmetics. To be honest, when it was recommended to me, I saw the photo and thought 'Huh?'. My friend told me not to judge the packaging and that the product inside is really good. It's a bit embarrassing, isn't it? Apart from this, I have no complaints about the product whatsoever! I mix a drop or two into my toner, blend it with my cream, and even add it to my body emulsion. When my scalp suddenly feels dry and itchy, I mix a couple of drops into my shampoo. It's truly the only natural oil that doesn't cause any blemishes on my face. - ta*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJun 13, 2022
I had a good experience with a cheaper camellia oil before. It didn't leave an oily residue on my hands and even helped calm my blemishes. Thinking it suited me well, I decided to try a high-end camellia oil. Unfortunately, this one doesn't agree with my skin. It's disappointing, and I can't understand why it's not working for me. It's always a gamble when switching to a more expensive version of a product that worked well for you. Sometimes, the simpler formulation of cheaper products can be more effective for certain skin types. - ta**********Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 25, 2020
I think this might be my first ever review, so here goes... 1. Skin Type I have truly difficult skin to manage. It doesn't seem like I have many blemishes, but it feels like there's sebum in each pore. Yet my skin isn't thick - it's so thin you can see the blood vessels. So it's dry, but if I apply too much product to combat the dryness, I break out like crazy. Even my esthetician, who initially thought it wouldn't be hard to treat since my blemishes weren't severe, now finds it challenging. 2. Why My Skin Got This Way I think I've been too harsh on my skin. All those treatments and procedures... I've tried every laser treatment out there due to stress. I guess that's why my skin has become super sensitive. 3. Why I Bought This Product I couldn't stand by and watch my skin become more sensitive. I heard hydration is the most important thing, right? So I decided to try this oil, even if it might cause breakouts. 4. Why I Recommend This Product Except for tea tree oil, I couldn't use any oils before, but why doesn't this one cause blemishes? I even used it for massage to remove sebum... and it works well! As Director Pi suggested, I apply a hydrating serum, then this oil, then cream. It's moisturizing and gentle. I'll definitely repurchase this, maybe in a larger size. I'm so relieved to have finally found something that works for me. If you can only use emulsions like Zeroid and nothing else, give this a try. I bought it thinking I'd use it on my body or hair if it didn't suit my face, but it's working great! I don't have any complaints yet! If I find anything disappointing as I continue using it, I'll come back and update. It's great for locking in moisture when used right after a hydrating serum. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedMar 6, 2020
The application is smooth and clean without any stickiness. There's no unpleasant slippery feeling either. It absorbs well, sinking into the skin without leaving a greasy residue. While it doesn't have a particularly pleasant scent since it's not artificially fragranced, you can apply it without any aversion. I haven't found any downsides yet. Perhaps I'll discover some after using a few more bottles? Before bed, after cleansing and applying toner, I apply this oil and let it absorb, followed by essence and cream. When going out, I mix a bit more oil with the final layer of cream. This keeps my skin from feeling tight or dry even as time passes, which I really appreciate. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 19, 2020
For someone with extremely sensitive and dry skin like me, this oil product was truly like a comforting mother. It's moisturizing, non-irritating, and doesn't leave a greasy feeling. It's excellent when mixed with all basic skincare products. There are no downsides. The user experience is really great. I'm satisfied considering the price. From facial and body care to cuticle management and even treating damaged hair ends, this product is the ultimate in versatility and effectiveness. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 23, 2019
As someone with dry skin, I found that just adding moisture wasn't enough - I was lacking in oils. That's why I started using this product, and it seems to really balance out my skin's oil and moisture levels. I've been using it for over a year now, and I love how it keeps my skin from getting blemishes while tackling dryness. There's nothing particularly disappointing about it. So far, I've been using it without any issues. - ra*******Combination SkinRecommendedOct 30, 2019
I first tried the 10ml oil from a starter kit I received as a gift. It was just nice - not heavy at all. After using it up in a month or two, I went without it for a while. The difference between using it and not using it became really noticeable. It feels like my skin has developed a firm barrier. So I ended up buying two 20ml bottles with my own money (one as a gift). I even purchased their body oil too. There's nothing really bad about it, except that it's not well-known. When you mention using this cosmetic or give it as a gift, people often don't recognize it. I didn't know about it either until I received it as a gift. They frequently post sale information on Instagram, so it's worth following them. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedOct 23, 2019
My skin was extremely dry and flaky in winter, but after applying this, all the dead skin cells disappeared. The price is a bit... well... But considering how effective it is, I guess it's worth it.
