While there's nothing particularly disappointing about it, the fact that it's not exceptionally great could be considered a drawback, if you had to find one.

I initially bought this in a hurry from a pharmacy in Spain, and even in that dry climate, it kept my skin hydrated without any deep dryness.

The biggest disappointment! If you apply too much in pursuit of hydration, it pills like crazy.
You really need to apply just the right amount for your skin to absorb.
Another downside is the price... haha!
While I did use it well, I feel like the price is too high compared to its functionality and volume. If it performed as well as the price suggests, I'd keep using it, but it's not quite that satisfying.

Before discovering Real Barrier, this was my go-to product for reviving the desert-like state of my face! 

1. Absorption:
When you first apply it, it feels like a slightly dense cream, but as you spread it, it melts into the skin effortlessly. This makes it incredibly hydrating.

2. Effectiveness:
In winter, after coming in from the cold wind, I'd apply a thin layer and let it absorb, then layer it on two or three more times generously. This makes my skin super hydrated. The downside is that I need to apply it this way to achieve the level of hydration I'm satisfied with.
However, there are some drawbacks to applying it like this...

The fragrance... I don't know why I didn't notice it when testing in-store. I'm not a fan of perfumes and really dislike artificial scents. This one has a floral-like artificial scent. Because of the fragrance, I probably won't use it again.

It's so hydrating! I have extremely dry skin, but this isn't too heavy for summer use. It maintains moisture with just the right amount of richness, so I think it'll be great to use until fall.

Those with oily skin or who sweat a lot in summer might want to steer clear of this one.

As I've gotten older, my skin felt really tight after cleansing, but applying this makes that dryness disappear completely!

I used it well for a while, but suddenly my skin became irritated and red, like a rash. After researching all the skincare products I've been using, this one has the most potentially irritating ingredients. While I'm not 100% certain, I suspect this product might be the cause, which makes me uneasy.

This is an incredibly rich cream with a soft texture. A small amount spreads easily and provides excellent hydration.

After hydrating with toner and serum, applying this cream leaves your skin feeling moisturized deep down while the surface feels soft and smooth. It absorbs well without any stickiness.

The glass container means you have to transfer it to another bottle for travel... That's the only inconvenience, everything else is top-notch!

The velvety finish is amazing! It's light yet deeply moisturizing, making it perfect as a fall/winter cream!! I fell in love with it last year and it's become a staple in my routine this year too!! It's a cream that applies lightly but keeps skin hydrated.

While it's not overly rich, when applied in the dead of winter, it can feel a bit lacking in hydration. Overall, I consider it a daily hydrating moisturizer and use it both morning and night.

I always seem to buy this for around 25,000 won at duty-free shops. It's such great value for money, and even my friend with super sensitive skin keeps using it because it doesn't cause any blemishes. I'm surprised to learn it contains 8 ingredients of moderate risk, though it's not severe. Nevertheless, I still intend to continue using it.

Since people aren't too familiar with this product, you'll likely have plenty of opportunities to test fresh stock when you visit the store. Due to minimal promotion, it's often displayed on lower shelves, so the samples are usually pristine. The texture is like a solid that feels coated. When applied to the skin, it absorbs without any stickiness, leaving your skin incredibly hydrated. It's simply amazing! It's as if your skin is saying it feels great.

This is a powerhouse winter moisturizer. I've probably gone through more than 6 jars. It prevents deep dryness, absorbs smoothly, and doesn't feel rich. It's my go-to basic from fall through winter.
