Those who use Clinique for their skincare routine know this: no matter which product you use, if you don't precisely control the amount of cream in the final step, even slightly, it can lead to a disaster during the primer or foundation stage! There's no other way to fix it when that happens. You'll have to wipe it off with a cotton pad soaked in toner, then reapply your skincare and start over. If you've applied a hydrating skincare routine, one pump is enough to evenly spread over your entire face after morning cleansing and before makeup. If you're targeting specific areas (mainly T-zone and chin), regardless of your skincare routine, it's recommended to apply it after ensuring your skin surface is free of excess moisture. (Why? Although it's an emulsion, it immediately provides a matte finish! The amount is quite generous compared to how much you use per application. Even though I bought it in Canada for slightly cheaper than in Korea, it's still not exactly budget-friendly. Unfortunately, when I applied makeup over it, I experienced some pilling. As someone with oily skin, I bought this after it was recommended as a primer. It feels wonderfully soft and powdery when applied. I'm satisfied because it reduces oil production even after makeup application and minimizes the appearance of pores. The price is quite steep... When I apply makeup after using this, my pores are noticeably less visible! It also helps control oil production. I received it as a gift and now I can't imagine not using it. Although it's pricey, I'm considering repurchasing. Sometimes it can leave a slight white cast.
