  As someone with extremely dry skin, liquid foundations usually make my face flake like powder in winter. I initially bought this on a whim due to its low price. Surprisingly, it has a pleasant scent and is so rich that it prevents my skin from cracking in the cold. I've been using up a bottle every winter since two years ago. It's also great for dry areas like elbows.

  Cons

  I didn't notice any irritation while applying it, so I was unaware of the potentially harmful ingredients until I checked Hwahae. It's disappointing to learn about the ingredient list.

  Tip

  If you mix a bit of this with your BB cream, you can achieve a natural, 'no-makeup' look.

  First off, this horse oil cream is incredibly rich and heavy, as you'd expect from its name. It's perfect for winter use or for those with dry skin, even in summer. I always apply this cream before my morning makeup routine, and I've noticed it prevents my makeup from cracking or separating throughout the day. While some might find the scent strong, I personally enjoy it - it has that classic cosmetic fragrance. With consistent use, you'll find your dry skin concerns disappearing.

  Well... apart from being a bit pricey if you don't catch it on sale, I can't think of any downsides.

  Pros

  I always buy this for the harsh winter months when I experience deep dryness. While some reviews mention an unpleasant scent, I found it fine. When applied, it feels like it creates a protective layer rather than absorbing quickly. The generous amount and included spatula are definite pluses.

  Cons

  This product doesn't seem to suit me. After using it, I developed small bumps on my forehead and acne on my cheeks, which I've never had before. Even my chin broke out in tiny bumps. Once I stopped using it, everything cleared up. I guess the rich texture just doesn't work for my skin.

  Tip

  I was worried about dehydrated skin until I read a review suggesting to forget everything else and just apply toner twice lightly, followed by emulsion twice. I tried it, and miraculously, my deep dryness disappeared! I don't even use a moisturizer now. After cleansing, I just mist my face, pat in the toner with a cotton pad, and apply a tiny bit of emulsion twice. It works wonders! This must be what they mean by skincare minimalism. My skin has returned to its normal state with this routine.

  I started using this product recently after buying it a while ago during a huge sale. It's incredibly good value for money. When I apply it in winter, my skin never feels dry at all, which is great. I also find the scent quite pleasant. I think it would be especially good for those with dry skin!

  I snagged this on social media for under $10 during a buy-one-get-one deal. It's perfect as a night cream, especially during dry transitional seasons or winter. I apply a very thin layer before bed - it's truly a cream by definition! As a hand cream, it's not overly fragrant, doesn't feel sticky, and keeps my hands moisturized for hours.

  This is one of the products I've been using since I was a private in the military. I'm still using it even after being discharged. When I apply it before bed, the skin improvement in the morning is astonishing. I've become such a believer that I even use this instead of body emulsion after showering in winter. Some people say the scent isn't great, but I don't mind it. Highly recommend sending this to your military boyfriend! It's hard and bothersome to do face masks in the military, but if he applies this before sleeping, his skin will be amazing. Where I've seen particularly great results is... my heels! After a long march or walk, or after showering or bathing, apply it to your heels. They won't be rough, just soft and smooth. For those with very rough heels, try applying it for about 1-2 weeks.

  I was shocked to find out this great product contains harmful ingredients... But as someone who's used it for over 2 years, I'll continue using it! The only downside is that it can't be used in summer...

  Tip

  1. In winter, you can apply it all over your body after showering or bathing, not just your face! It's even better than body emulsion. 2. It makes your heels soft and smooth. 3. As someone who used it in the military, it's great for protecting your military boyfriend's skin. For example, from private to sergeant, they would come to apply it as a mask substitute the night before leave. 4. It's excellent as a mask substitute! Feel your soft, smooth skin the next day! 5. In a pinch, it's even good as a lip balm! Just remember, don't apply it too thickly when using it for purposes other than as a sleeping pack, okay?
