A few years ago, there weren't many good contouring products in drugstores, and even when available, they were too light for darker skin tones like mine. However, this product, recommended by Ssine, makes contouring possible even for those with deeper skin tones. - The color payoff is intense. This is both an advantage and a disadvantage - since it's highly pigmented, you only need to use a small amount, making the product last longer.
Cons- It has a strong red undertone. When applied to the face, it appears almost like a red-brown. As someone with a warm undertone (specifically a deep undertone bright), this product makes contouring look too obvious and unnatural on me. While careful application can work, even slightly overdoing it can make the outer parts of the face look reddish. - Due to its high pigmentation, poor application can result in an unnatural look with harsh lines and overly darkened areas. It's crucial to tap off excess product from the brush and not use too much. Opt for a fluffy, less dense brush rather than a tightly packed one. - The value for money isn't exceptional. While the case is sturdy, you can now find better products at even lower prices. - A few years ago, I would have highly recommended this product. However, contouring options in drugstores have greatly improved, with a wide variety of formulas and shades for different skin tones. There are now many contouring products superior to this one.

Initially, my mom bought the entire Banila Co. set for me, so I tried it by chance. As I continued using it, I noticed that YouTuber Sseen also frequently uses and praises this product for its natural color and lack of redness. It really does have a nice, natural color payoff without any red undertones. One purchase seems to last me over 10 months.
ConsThe price isn't exactly budget-friendly. But aside from that, everything else about it is great.
TipEvery day when I do my makeup, I lightly apply the lightest brown shade on my eyebrows and eyelids for a natural look. This helps control oil and creates a nice base for the rest of my makeup. For contouring, I use it to define my nose, hairline, and facial contours.

ConsThe case was a bit wobbly. If it had been a cheaper product, I might have overlooked it.

I've been using it for over a year and still have plenty left - that's definitely a plus. What I love most is how it creates such a natural-looking contour.
ConsI wish it came with a built-in brush. It's a bit bulky, so I can't really carry it around with me.
TipI apply it with a brush, starting from the outer cheeks and sweeping downwards for a natural look. I also add a touch to my cheekbones, which really helps define my slightly sunken cheeks.

The color payoff is fantastic! Even with a light application, the pigmentation is strong and it has a matte finish.
ConsThe main disappointment and reason I rarely use it is that most shades have a strong reddish undertone.
TipIf you don't blend it well, it can look overdone. With careful application and mixing shades, it's quite usable.

No one could tell I was wearing contour. The colors are natural and diverse, making it great for blending. The fine particles make it comfortable to apply without feeling heavy on the skin. In a pinch, I even use it as an eyeshadow for a subtle eye makeup look. You'll still need to apply eyeliner separately though.
ConsFirst off, the case design triggers trypophobia. Even though I don't have trypophobia, it sometimes gives me the creeps. Banila Co often makes great products, but their packaging can be disappointing at times.
TipFor a more natural finish, apply with a brush first, then use a puff to soften the edges.

Looks natural on slightly darker skin and can even be used as eyeshadow. Apply the first shade as a base on the eyelid, then use the fourth shade on the crease for a flawless contoured eye look. Use a large brush to sweep the third and fourth shades across the face for contouring.
ConsThe second shade from the left tends to be a bit too red and yellow, so I end up not using that one

It blends seamlessly with my complexion, allowing for natural shadow creation. The product comes in a generous amount, and the color payoff is excellent.
ConsThere's a slight reddish tint, though not overly noticeable. Compared to other contouring products, it's more intense and darker with better pigmentation, which means it can look obvious if not applied carefully. If you're not careful, you might end up with visible lines.
TipColor cosmetics can vary depending on your skin tone, and given the slight redness in this product, it's best to test it directly on your face at the store to minimize the chance of disappointment. When applying, tap off excess product from your brush and build up the color gradually, like you're painting with watercolors, for a more natural look.

The color payoff is pretty good for a contour product. The first photo shows how it looks to the naked eye, while I swatched it 5-6 times on my wrist. Being a powder formula, I think it's a great product for contouring beginners.
ConsIt has a slight reddish undertone. I wouldn't recommend this to those who find that reddish tones make their face look heavy or congested. Given its price point, you might be better off with a matte contour shadow from a more affordable brand.

Unlike the Tony Moly product I used before, this one doesn't have any redness, which I absolutely love.
ConsThe fatal flaw... I'm getting blemishes along my jawline. At first, I thought it might be due to swelling, but now I don't think so. It's time for me to buy a new contour, but I'm really torn about which one to choose.
