It works well when used with a moisturizer or a madecassoside cream, keeping your skin from feeling dry.

I use this occasionally for my dark spots, but somehow the brightening effect is... meh. My dark spots seem to stand out even more. There's no dramatic effect on hyperpigmentation. It feels like the whole face gets brighter, so the dark spots appear slightly faded, but it's more of a vague impression than anything else.

If you're looking for brightening, I don't think there's a better product out there. However, if you have super sensitive skin, it might cause some irritation. It's best to test it out by applying small amounts gradually.
