I've tried Bioderma, Uriage, Carmex, Burt's Bees, and others, but this product is phenomenal in terms of how it adheres to the lips and cares for dead skin cells. Usually, lip balms don't have that 'clinging' feeling when applied, but this one really sticks to your lips without feeling heavy at all. It's absolutely amazing!
ConsWhy is it discontinued...? Does this mean I can't use it anymore...? So disappointing!
TipSince it doesn't feel heavy, I can reapply it frequently without any discomfort. I find myself reaching for it throughout the day!

When applied before lip makeup, it doesn't make your lips greasy, improving the adherence of your lipstick.
ConsThere's nothing particularly bad, but the white stick part gets dirty easily. While the scent is minimal, those with super sensitive skin might not like it.
TipFor eye makeup, apply a thin layer with your fingers before starting. This enhances the adherence and color payoff of your eyeshadow.

First off, I'm someone who gets dead skin cells on my lips very easily - even in summer, I can't go without Vaseline or lip balm! This mint-colored balm has a slightly sticky, rich texture that smoothly covers dead skin cells. It doesn't feel greasy at all, has great staying power and adherence, and has a subtle powder scent. Highly recommended for quick lipstick application: It instantly smooths out flaky skin, allowing lipstick to glide on cleanly and improving its adherence. The subtle baby powder scent is very faint - those sensitive to fragrances should take note.
ConsNot recommended for those who are hypersensitive to or don't like baby powder scents (though I don't mind it as the product works well for me). Also not suitable for those who react poorly to mineral oil.
TipApplying tint alone can be drying, but putting it over lip balm makes the tint float and reduces its staying power. For students who might not know, here's how to use lip balm with tints and lipsticks: For tints: Apply lip balm generously to combat deep dryness and dead skin cells → Gently remove excess balm with a cotton swab → Apply tint → Once the tint sets, dab on a bit more lip balm with a cotton swab. (Using a cotton swab is optional. It's recommended to prevent tint from getting on your lip balm stick, but if you don't mind or clean it regularly, that's fine too.) For lipsticks: [Matte type] Lip balm → Lipstick [Creamy type] Lip balm → Lightly remove excess → Lipstick Apply before bed for smooth, hydrated lips in the morning! Perfect for managing dead skin cells. Remember, consistent care is key for managing flaky lips. Avoid licking your lips and drink water frequently. If your lips are still dry despite using lip balm, it might be due to dehydration, so increasing your water intake can help.

Since fragrances can be polarizing, I really appreciated that this product is unscented.
ConsWhen applied, my lips felt a slight tingling sensation. If you lick your lips, it can actually have the opposite effect, so it's best to use this at night when you can leave your lips undisturbed. Also, it leaves a shine... While some might like this, I'm not a fan of such finishes.
TipIt's best to apply a generous amount at night!

The texture is a bit thicker compared to other lip balms, which makes it great as a base before applying other lip products. My lips tend to get flaky quickly, which used to limit my lip product choices, but since discovering this lip balm, my options have expanded! The first time I used this product, I was so frustrated with my chapped lips that I slathered it on thickly before bed. To my surprise, the next morning, my multi-layered dead skin had been reduced to just one layer! Now, this is the only lip balm I use.
ConsThe ingredients list shows fragrance, but it's practically unscented. I'm puzzled as to why they bothered adding fragrance at all...
TipYou know how after squeezing a blemish, the skin around it gets flaky? Well, you can gently apply this to those areas before putting on makeup for a smooth finish. It's a game-changer!

But after using this, I can apply lipstick without any flaking or emphasizing dead skin cells. It's a game-changer!
ConsThe texture feels a bit heavy and sticky. I left it in my pocket where it was warm, and it melted into a gooey mess. As mentioned, it's quite thick, so unless you're using a matte lipstick, tints or glosses tend to slide off.
TipPro tip: Apply this lip balm before using matte lipsticks. It works wonders!

They instantly settle down. After applying this, no matter how matte a lipstick or tint you put on, it makes your lips look moisturized and applies smoothly. The staying power is pretty good too.
ConsThey said it's for dead skin cell care, but it's not like an actual lip scrub product. It's more like 'for now, at this moment, you can't see any dead skin cells' kind of care.
TipIf you're buying this hoping the dead skin cells will disappear completely, I'd strongly advise against it. You're better off getting a separate lip scrub product instead.
