  Pros

  It covers small pores well. I didn't experience any blemishes. It seems to control oil effectively.

  Cons

  The application method is a bit tricky. Not sure if it's normal, but it didn't cover large cheek pores as well as I expected. I've tried Benefit's product before - while its coverage is better, the problem is it causes blemishes. 1. Bare skin 2. After using Clarins 4. With foundation 5-6. Foundation only

  Tip

  For small pores, apply in circular motions. For larger areas, it seems to work better if you lightly pat it on.

  Pros

  I'm on my third tube of this product. I briefly switched to Porefessional, but came right back to this one because it's so satisfying. Even if I accidentally apply too much, it absorbs well without any pilling. While Porefessional would make my makeup break down as oil came through over time, Clarins keeps oil at bay, making it last much longer. I'll definitely repurchase when I run out.

  Cons

  There's not much to dislike. The price is a bit steep, but it's reasonable compared to other products. One downside is that it's not in a tube - you have to use a spatula, which isn't as hygienic.

  Tip

  To apply, take a small amount and gently massage it into your skin in small circular motions with your fingertips. Finish by patting it in, just like you would with your skincare routine.

  Pros

  I've been using this since fall, and it really keeps the oily shine at bay. Even if I accidentally apply too much, it doesn't pill as much as other primers. Applying a thin layer twice? Just a tiny bit makes your skin smooth (if your skin isn't patchy or bumpy, you can get away with just this and a brightening moisturizer for a light, fresh summer look). The ingredients seem gentle - my skin isn't super sensitive, but sometimes I break out when switching products, and this didn't cause any blemishes. My friend studying makeup artistry also raved about this product.

  Cons

  It's pricey. Really expensive for the amount you get. But since you only need to use a little, I can forgive that. There's talk about silica being not so great, but it's in almost all primers... I still use it, but it does make me a bit uneasy. I usually stick to gentle cosmetics...

  Tip

  After applying moisturizer and a thin layer of this primer, you can achieve a smooth complexion with just a brightening moisturizer on top, perfect for a natural, bare-faced look (it really looks like you're not wearing makeup, so there's no coverage). It's absolutely fantastic for summer.

  Pros

  This product excels at its role as a primer. Back when I had oily skin, applying this reduced sebum production and smoothed out my skin texture, which I really appreciated.

  Cons

  Apart from wishing it was more affordable, I didn't have any complaints.
