It's challenging for primers to have gentle ingredients, given that silicone is their base and their primary purpose is to cover pores. I bought this after seeing Director Pi's ingredient analysis and recommendation. Among primers, it seems to be the least irritating with the best ingredients. Its firm, hard texture provides excellent pore coverage and lasting power. It's particularly effective for large pores, even more so than Benefit or Make Up For Ever's softer, more moisturizing formulas. It has a subtle pink tint, which isn't from artificial coloring but from calamine, known to soothe the skin. For those with fair skin like me who find beige primers from Make Up For Ever or Benefit make their complexion look darker and dull, this product is far superior. I've never experienced any blemishes since using this. The jar is a bit heavy, and the container is oversized compared to the amount of product. I keep losing the spatula. I recommend this to those looking for a primer with relatively good ingredients and a firm texture. For those with fair skin who worry about colored primers like Benefit or Make Up For Ever darkening their complexion, this product slightly brightens the T-zone and central areas of the face. For a similar feel at a lower price point, try L'Oreal's jar-type primer. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedFeb 10, 2020
I don't usually wear much makeup, but I was concerned about my pores. This product worked wonders when I applied it! It gives such a smooth finish that I now apply it over my sunscreen whenever I'm worried about my pores! It's a bit disappointing that it tends to pill when I apply foundation or cushion over it. - lj*****Oily SkinRecommendedJan 15, 2020
I bought this because it was supposed to cover pores well... As it's my first time using a primer, I'm not sure if it's good or bad. The pore-covering effect isn't quite as impressive as I had hoped - maybe my expectations were too high. It does apply smoothly and seems to improve the adherence of foundation. A tube format would be more convenient. Using a spatula to scoop it out is really inconvenient. If they switched to a tube, the packaging costs might go down, potentially making it more affordable... - hy*****Dehydrated SkinInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedDec 24, 2019
Great for combination dehydrated skin that gets super dry in winter. It's effective for large pores. Despite being a balm-type product, it doesn't leave your skin feeling parched. For a primer, it has good ingredients, making it less burdensome for those with sensitive skin. If you apply too much, it can pill, but if you use too little out of fear of pilling, it won't be effective. You'll need a transition period to find the right amount. The texture isn't suitable for applying all over the face, so use it only on the T-zone. You'll need a separate base product for better adherence. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 11, 2019
It covers pores well. While it's supposed to fill in wrinkles too, I mainly wanted pore coverage, so I'm not sure about the wrinkles. But when I tested it on my hand, it smoothly filled everything in. Since I applied it in small amounts, there was no clumping, which is good. The ingredients are decent for a primer, so I didn't experience any blemishes, but thorough cleansing would be advisable. The price is a bit steep compared to drugstore brands, but I bought it solely for the ingredients, so I don't regret it too much. Personally, I prefer tube types for hygiene reasons, but this comes in a jar, which concerns me. Also, it's not very portable. - dh*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 15, 2019
This product is great not just for covering pores, but also for smoothing out skin texture! It's especially lightweight, making it perfect for comfortable wear during summer. The absorption is really excellent! It doesn't clump on the skin, so a small amount is sufficient for good coverage. Since it's a product that you scoop out with a spatula, there's a chance that dust might get in if you use it for a long time. It might be better if it came in a tube format. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 4, 2019
Covers all pores perfectly. Switching from MAC and Hourglass to Benefit primer was 200% worth it. The texture is a solid cream, which is quite unusual. It was challenging to control the amount at first due to the unfamiliar consistency. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedMay 13, 2019
This is truly a holy grail product. I used to use Benefit Porefessional before, but this seems to cover pores even better. It doesn't cause any dryness, makes my makeup last longer, and best of all, it comes in a generous amount. There's nothing I dislike about it so far. I think I'll be repurchasing this primer for life. - 10*******Combination SkinAcne SkinMar 16, 2019
As someone with large pores, I've tried various primers, and I think this one would be great for smaller pores, though maybe not for the really big ones. There's no pilling, and it absorbs well. It's just that my pores are too large... *sigh* It comes in a jar, so you need to have a separate spatula on hand. That's quite inconvenient. - yo****Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 4, 2019
As someone with acne scars and visible pores, I decided to give this primer a try. I've found it really helps combat dryness when applied before foundation in winter. Now I use it as both a primer and a base. After watching some YouTube reviews, I learned it's known for its great ingredients. I'm using it with confidence! The only tricky part is figuring out how much to use. While it doesn't cause pilling, if you apply too much, your foundation might look like it's floating on top of your skin. I think the best approach is to apply a thin layer. Then, you can add a bit more to specific areas that need extra attention.
