  Pros

  I snagged this on a commercial site deal, 1+1 for just 9,900 won. It was close to expiration, but that was fine since my sister, mom, and I planned to use it up quickly. What's unique is that despite being a hydrating cream, it comes in a solid balm form. You need to use the included spatula to scoop it out, as it melts with body heat. This makes for a more hygienic application. It applies smoothly and absorbs well, giving a deep moisturizing feeling. My skin was itchy and flaky from winter dryness, but after applying a generous amount before bed, I woke up to softer skin and reduced itching. I'm quite satisfied with the results!

  Cons

  Personally, I'm not a fan of scented products, and this one has a fairly strong fragrance. If you prefer unscented items, I wouldn't recommend it. Unlike most hydrating creams, this feels quite rich. While that's fine for winter use when everything's so dry, it might feel heavy in summer. I don't think it would suit those with very oily skin. I checked the ingredients on Hwahae and found five potentially harmful components. Although the product worked well for me, I'm a bit uneasy about the ingredient list not being as good as I'd hoped.

  Tip

  When my skin was suffering from deep dryness in winter, I used this Goodal cream generously as a sleeping pack before bed, followed by a couple of drops of facial oil pressed gently into my skin. I felt it really helped improve my skin texture and relieve the itchiness.

  Pros

  I bought this during a buy-one-get-one-free promotion at Wat*ns. When I tested it on the back of my hand, it felt lightweight and moisturizing... Unfortunately, that was the only positive aspect.

  Cons

  When I applied it to my face, my skin felt a bit suffocated. You know how when you use a moisturizer that doesn't suit you, your skin feels stuffy and sweat forms on your nose bridge and philtrum? That's exactly what happened with this product. The hydration doesn't last long either. I think this product isn't suitable for people like me with combination dehydrated skin. (At least it didn't cause any blemishes.) I ended up switching to a different moisturizer and decided to use the remaining product on my neck.

  Pros

  As someone with extremely dry skin, I've tried countless moisturizers, but nothing seemed to work. However, when I applied the Goodal moisturizer, my dryness completely vanished!

  Cons

  However, when I actually tried to use it before makeup, it just made my skin greasy without absorbing well. The scent is so overpowering that it left my nose feeling fatigued all day.   The price and quantity are good, but the absorption isn't great... I'm not sure if it's even that hydrating.

  I'm so upset and angry... I bought this Goodal product thinking it was good, supposedly a moisture barrier cream... but I was shocked when I checked the Hwahae app. It's a collection of harmful ingredients! I didn't use it every day, but now I know why I got blemishes when I did... There's still a lot left, but it's a waste to throw away, so I'll just use it like a body emulsion.

  Pros

  Even with just a small amount, it left my skin feeling hydrated with a beautiful glow. I have dry skin, but using this alone was enough to prevent any deep dryness and felt great.

  Cons

  Instead of a hydrated glow, it gives more of an oily sheen. I have combination dehydrated skin that leans dry in winter and more combination in summer, but this feels quite heavy. Even in this weather, if I apply a bit too much, it feels suffocating. While using this, I kept breaking out.

  Tip

  I'd recommend this for those who don't mind rich textures and can absorb products well. It's best suited for people who rarely get blemishes no matter what they use. This seems to be a product for those with very little natural oil in their skin.
