I was surprised by how moisturizing it felt! It has a hydrating, jelly-like texture that applies incredibly smoothly. I've heard from friends who use primers that they can feel a bit heavy and suffocating as they smooth out pores, but Label C's Hydra Veil Primer feels more like applying a moisturizer. It doesn't feel cakey or uncomfortable at all. Instead, it's like a hydrating serum that helps create a cleaner skin appearance on top of a moisturized base! I don't typically use a lot of color makeup, so I focus more on skincare. I'm satisfied with how it doesn't pill at all, and even when my makeup starts to fade, it seems to last much longer and break down more evenly than when I use foundation alone. For a product I'm trying for the first time, I'm really pleased with the results!
ConsSince it's a hydrating, water-based primer, those with dry skin who need more oil might find that their makeup doesn't adhere as well! I'd recommend this for combination or oily skin types like mine!
TipDuring the hot summer when we sweat a lot, using a light, moisturizer-like Hydra Veil Primer feels much better than a thick, pore-clogging one. It definitely helps prevent my makeup from pilling! As someone with oily skin, I often struggle to find suitable products for the humid summer months. This lightweight, gel-type primer is perfect - I apply it first, then add a foundation-like base, and finish with a light dusting of powder. This creates a non-suffocating, translucent makeup look that's perfect for achieving a fresh, matte finish!
