I got the middle tone between 21 and 23, but this 23 shade is also right in the middle tone, which I like. It's not too dark. At first glance, it may appear to be a beige with a reddish undertone, but when applied, it's not the case. As it's a compact powder, the coverage is quite good and the lasting power is decent as well. I thought it might be oily or drying, but it's not too oily nor too drying. The pores seem to be more emphasized compared to other regular powders. It's difficult to touch up the makeup, as it gets cakey if applied too thickly. Once it's settled, the surrounding area gets wiped off. It tends to clump up, so it's better to apply it lightly with a brush from the beginning. Proper skin prep is crucial - applying a gel-type essence and a moisturizing cream before applying this powder helps, but it still tends to cake up. The application needs to be done carefully to control the thickness. It's a bit heavy for summer due to the thick texture.
