It's particularly effective when applied lightly right after showering, before the skin dries completely. This technique helps prevent moisture loss, leaving your skin smooth and radiant. The formula is a thin, transparent oil that spreads easily on the skin and absorbs well without feeling sticky. A major advantage is its gentle nature, suitable for everyone from babies to adults with super sensitive skin. Gently massaging it in helps refine skin texture and imparts a feeling of elasticity. The signature soft, cozy scent lingers subtly, offering a sense of comfort and relaxation.
ConsWhile its hydration is excellent, those who dislike the characteristic film left by oils might find it a bit rich. There's also a risk of oil stains on clothing if it comes into direct contact before being fully absorbed, so it's advisable to let it sink in completely before dressing. Additionally, those with combination dehydrated skin or during sweaty summer months might find the after-feel a bit sticky, so you may need to adjust the amount used seasonally.
Tip1. Apply while skin is still damp after showering. The oil and water absorb together, providing deep hydration and surface moisture simultaneously. 2. Mix a drop or two with your emulsion or cream to boost hydration, making it particularly effective in winter. 3. It's great for spot-treating dry areas like cuticles, elbows, and heels. 4. Scented versions (like lavender or almond) can double as a subtle perfumed body oil.

The pleasant scent and effective hydration help me drift off to sleep feeling great. True to its oil-based nature, it leaves my skin feeling silky smooth.
ConsI'm not sure if the volume is too small or if I'm using it too liberally, but it runs out quickly. The hydration doesn't last very long, and while I can't speak for others, when I apply it to my face, I get small bumps, unfortunately.

It leaves my skin feeling silky smooth when applied.
ConsI don't apply it when my skin is wet, but rather after patting my skin slightly dry. I'm not sure about its hydration retention... I feel it's not quite enough on its own, so I've been using it along with a body emulsion.

It's perfect for use as a massage oil.
ConsCompared to other oils, I felt like the smooth sensation didn't last as long as I would have liked.

ConsI have combination dehydrated skin with an oily T-zone and super sensitive skin. I occasionally get a pimple depending on my skin condition, but if I use any product that clogs my pores even slightly, I immediately get hard blemishes. I started using this after a friend with famously good skin told me there's no better oil for smile lines. After a 2-minute massage with Johnson's oil, I gently wipe it off with toner, then mix argan oil or carrot seed oil with my cream, pat it in, and let it absorb. (My skin is so hypersensitive that even gentle green tea or high-concentration aloe gel, which are supposed to be good for blemishes, cause my face to turn red and break out in huge pimples... It's a nightmare! So I applied this as a soothing treatment, prepared for my skin to potentially freak out.) My experience: Out of every five uses, about 40% of the time I get a hard, painful cystic pimple in the center of my chin. After a few days, it turns into a pustule, and then leaves a dark... pigmentation mark that lasts for months. Ugh. I tried using it on and off, and while I normally don't get many small bumps and just have large pores, after using this I repeatedly got painful cystic acne. It must be because Johnson's is definitely clogging my pores, right? Everything else in my routine stayed the same... Argan and carrot oil don't seem to clog my pores much, even when I apply a lot. I used it for wrinkle prevention, lifting massage, and pore reduction... but what for??? Accelerated aging? What irony... The friend who recommended it has almost no visible pores and no sagging despite her age. Does mineral oil only age some people's skin? The hydration was great, and after a few days of massage, the effect on wrinkles was clearly visible. I thought I'd found my holy grail, but... The thought of having to search for another oil to replace this is overwhelming... It's so disheartening.
TipFor those who tolerate it well, massage for no more than 2 minutes. This product naturally warms up when rubbed, so the massage and removal process shouldn't exceed 2 minutes. At first, I didn't know and massaged for 20 minutes. Oh my... My face felt like it had been in a furnace, turning red and hot. Dozens of pimples appeared within minutes. Even if it works well for you, I recommend keeping the massage short.

It leaves your skin silky smooth without the hassle of applying body emulsion.
ConsStill on the fence about this one. Need more time to form a solid opinion.

It was great for softening dead skin cells on areas like elbows and perfect for massaging. I also loved the clean scent. I've tried the chamomile version too, but that fragrance wasn't my style.
ConsBeing an oil, it absorbs rather slowly. If you're sensitive to mineral oil, make sure to do a patch test first. I've been using it since kindergarten, so I don't have any issues with it. Out of curiosity, I tried applying it to my hair ends, but that was a disaster! Let's stick to hair oils for our locks.
TipAfter hair removal, if you generously apply this and then rinse it off with cool water, it soothes the skin and leaves it feeling incredibly soft!

Especially when I applied it to my feet and wore sleep socks, my feet became so smooth!
ConsWhile it's fine for areas less prone to blemishes like feet or hands, it causes hives on sensitive areas like wrists or armpits.

The liquid texture, similar to water or oil, made it smooth and great for massages. Being fragrance-free, it didn't irritate my sense of smell. The affordable price and generous amount made it worry-free to use. Easy to purchase as it's available in various stores.
ConsThe container made it difficult to control the amount, and it was heavy to use, causing spills or slips. Be careful with absorption - when not properly absorbed, it caused skin irritation and itching.
TipAfter showering, pat it onto damp skin and gently dab with a towel to absorb. Follow up with a body emulsion for excellent hydration!
