Even in areas where I've had chronic skin inflammation, there is no irritation or exacerbation when I apply this makeup. The formula has a high density but lacks flowability, yet it doesn't cake, clump, or flake, and applies evenly and adheres well (surprisingly). Whether I use a brush to spread it or just dab it on with a sponge, it blends out seamlessly.
ConsThe only downside is that the color longevity is a bit lacking. While it applies smoothly and has a semi-matte finish that doesn't feel overly fixed, the makeup doesn't last as long. Over time, the initial color fades slightly, giving a more natural, less made-up appearance. For those using just this foundation without concealer, the longevity may feel a bit lacking. As someone with thin skin that flushes easily, especially in the winter with heaters and heavy clothing causing sudden facial heat, I opted for a more yellow-toned foundation. Compared to The Face Shop Ink Lasting and Hera Black Foundation, it handled the facial flushing better (so it's on the better side?), but the redness in my cheeks still tends to peek through. Touching up with powder may be necessary when going out, as the formula doesn't fully sink into the skin to conceal initial redness. In the dead of winter, I'll likely need to set it with a loose powder, but in spring and fall, this foundation should shine. Even with the need for powder, this product avoids the downsides of glowy or matte foundations, so using it with powder should still result in a more beautiful appearance compared to other options. Overall, it's a great foundation, especially for the price!
TipI apply this product all over and use a brighter concealer around the central face area for contouring. Recommended for: - Dry, combination, sensitive, and thin-skinned individuals - Those with oily skin may also want to test it, as some US reviews said it didn't cause excess oil for certain people - Highly recommended for those with thin skin, as the coverage and pigments don't look obvious or unnatural, even with layering Not recommended for: - Those who prefer a matte foundation that fully sinks into the skin and provides long-lasting coverage without the need for powder touch-ups - Those who use multiple base products (primer, concealer, foundation) to achieve a flawless look without any touch-ups - Those with a lot of facial flushing - the Doublewear-type longevity may be better Shade matching tips: - For Sephora foundation users, the 'shade match' feature on the Sephora USA website can accurately recommend the closest shade, except for the very lightest shades. - I switched from Too Faced Born This Way in Porcelain, which is a bit more yellow and slightly darker than this.
