Costco brand products are usually outsourced rather than produced in-house. From what I know, their shampoo and conditioner are made by the same manufacturer as Pureology Hydrate. My bleached hair was severely tangled, but at around $8 in the US, I thought it was worth a try. While the ingredients aren't top-tier, it doesn't trigger my allergies, which is a plus. The best part? My previously bleached hair now feels silky smooth and is incredibly easy to brush. It's almost as if my hair has temporarily returned to its healthy state! The fragrance is quite strong. When I first used it, the scent of this conditioner bothered me all day (I'm generally not a fan of cosmetic fragrances). However, I've gotten used to it now. Be careful not to apply it to your scalp as it may cause itching. It's best to pump out small amounts and apply it gradually from the mid-lengths of your hair downwards, repeating as necessary.

I'm already on my second or third bottle. After using this, I'm losing handfuls of hair. I searched on Hwahae to see if there were issues with the ingredients, and found quite a few problematic ones. While the extent and specifics of how these ingredients negatively affect hair aren't detailed, and I don't blindly trust EWG ratings, based on my experience, I'm going to stop using this to protect my hair.
