  Pros

  Perfect as a first essence. I alternate between this and Skinfood Royal Honey, and after using this, my face looks brighter the next day. I'm on my fourth bottle now.

  Cons

  Limited purchasing options. As far as I know, it's only available duty-free now. Among L'Oreal's skincare lines, this one is the most effective, while their skin emulsion line is just average (no noticeable results).

  I've been using this product for over 5 years. I feel anxious about potential skin issues if I don't have it. It really improves my skin texture.

  Cons

  As the name suggests, it's an activator or booster, so it's essential to follow up with serum and cream. The dropper doesn't draw up the product smoothly.

  Pros

  I've been using this as a first essence for several bottles now. It has no stickiness and absorbs well, leaving my skin noticeably soft after application. This amazing feel is why I keep repurchasing it. It seems to refine skin texture while locking in hydration, so even when I try other products, I find myself oddly drawn back to this one. I always keep it stocked. True to its name, it really does an excellent job as a boosting serum.

  Cons

  While I'm satisfied with using it, looking at the Hwahae app, I find the ingredients slightly disappointing. Also, the price can be a bit burdensome unless it's on sale. I always buy it during sales. And I'm constantly worried that L'Oreal might discontinue it. This product is specifically a boosting serum, and on its own, it might feel a bit tight for those with dry skin.

  Pros

  When I use this, my skin feels incredibly smooth and silky. As someone with combination skin, it's not greasy but more like a silky coating?

  Cons

  I'm not a fan of ingredients like phenoxyethanol. Unfortunately, it seems unavoidable in affordable cosmetics. The bifida ferment lysate appears to be the only redeeming ingredient.

  Tip

  It's nice to apply given the low price, but the small quantity means it runs out quickly, which is a shame.
