True to its name, it's non-shiny and doesn't transfer to the lips. When applied before lip makeup, it leaves a soft, matte finish without any stickiness. Not recommended if you prioritize hydration. I was using it regularly, but it suddenly got discontinued? It was my holy grail product, so disappointing! When applied lightly before a matte lipstick, it prevents dead skin cells from showing and helps the lipstick go on more beautifully. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 31, 2018
Non-sticky + Fragrance-free, odorless, and colorless + Doesn't clump when applying lipstick over it I visited two or three stores, but none of them had stock from after 2016. I originally wanted to buy the same product in a tinted version, but that was sold out too. So disappointing! + It doesn't provide exceptional hydration - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 21, 2018
Affordable price and great ingredients - that's why I decided to buy this lip balm. I have a habit of picking at my lips, and they get super dry in winter, often cracking and getting injured. I usually wear lipstick, but with all the dead skin cells and wounds, it doesn't apply nicely. So I apply this generously at night before bed or in the morning before makeup. It makes my lips so moisturized and soft, even with just a little bit. (Of course, it would work even better if I stopped picking at them!) Despite my bad habit, I'm really satisfied with the results. Plus, it's fragrance-free, which I love for a lip product. When you apply too much, it feels like it's creating a film on your lips rather than absorbing. With a thick layer, it's hard to apply lipstick over it. Just gently swipe it on once or twice (don't press too hard). The lip balm is quite soft, so it wears down quickly. I found I couldn't reapply it over lipstick. - qo********Dry SkinAcne SkinOct 31, 2017
Since I have long hair, lip balms usually make my hair stick to my lips, but I love that this one has a matte finish! It's fantastic that it doesn't cling to my hair at all. It's impossible to twist up the lip balm with one hand. You have to use both hands to turn it. Also, the amount is too small, yet it's quite expensive. For 7,800 won, the quantity is disappointingly little. As you can see in the photo, after a month of use, this is all that's left. I'll need to buy a new one soon. It works so much better to apply tint first, let it dry, and then put on the lip balm! It's also great to apply before bed. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAug 23, 2017
It's clearly applied on my lips, but you can't tell at all from the outside! I was used to my lips looking shiny after using lip balm, but this one has a great texture. I think it would be good to apply before using a lip tint. I used this lip balm along with The Face Shop's, and my dead skin cells have really disappeared! Maybe because the lip balm is matte, the case is also matte. The amount is small, but the lip balm itself is chubby. Plus, I love blue! The blue on a white background is divine! The amount is too small... I was surprised at how short it was when I fully twisted it up. From left to right in the photo: the lip balm I'm currently reviewing, The Face Shop lip balm in the middle, and Innisfree tint balm on the right. There's a clear difference in quantity between It's Skin (the one I'm reviewing) and The Face Shop lip balm, even though they're both new (The Face Shop one is 200 won more expensive). The Innisfree tint balm costs around 7000 won and I've used it for quite a while, but the amount is about the same... Maybe because it's matte, it feels really matte. Even though the amount is small, I didn't say I wouldn't repurchase it. If it's small, it's small... I'll buy it again... - so******Oily SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessAug 3, 2017
I used to prefer matte lipsticks, but other lip balms would ruin the matte finish. This lip balm doesn't do that at all, which I love! It's great to apply before and after lipstick! Since it's a matte type, it might be a love-it-or-hate-it product. Perhaps it's only for matte lip enthusiasts like me? I stock up on these when there's a buy-one-get-one-free deal! - ek****Combination SkinAcne SkinJul 26, 2017
I bought this expecting the firmness of Caudalie, but while it's not as solid, it has better ingredients and applies smoothly! It's fascinating how it transforms into a matte texture when you make a 'woom-pa woom-pa' sound with your mouth. Not greasy at all, making it perfect for spring and summer wear. It's an ideal lip balm for applying matte lipsticks! It provides decent hydration too... So far, I can only see positives. Although it doesn't seem very well-known, I really hope they don't discontinue it... There's nothing to complain about. I hope It's Skin keeps this product going! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJul 17, 2017
A powdery lip balm? Incredible! I bought it with this expectation and it's perfect for creating a matte lip look! Whether you apply this before or after your matte lipstick, it doesn't add any shine - just a hint of moisture. As someone with lots of lip lines, I've always been wary of matte lipsticks deepening my wrinkles, but now I always use this lip balm as a base! There weren't any clear drawbacks. The packaging is fine too! If anything, I just hope it becomes more widely known so they keep producing it. My only concern is that it might be discontinued, which makes me a bit anxious, haha! It's often 50% off during sales. The regular price is 7800 won, so you can snag it for 3900 won - what a steal! Oh, and I repurchased it as a gift for my boyfriend. Highly recommended as a lip balm for men too! - ju*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesRednessMar 21, 2017
It doesn't feel sticky or greasy, so your hair won't cling to your lips. Even when you apply tint or lipstick, it doesn't look patchy! Being fragrance-free and colorless, it's unlikely to polarize opinions. It's pricey for the amount you get. Still, it's worth buying when it's on sale. However, am I the only one who feels the hydration doesn't last long? After about an hour, my lips seem to dry out, crack, and feel tingly again. This could be because I have a cut on my lips, so I'll reassess once it heals. For now, aside from that issue, it seems good, so I'm giving it four stars! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinFeb 11, 2017
First off, it's reassuring to use since it doesn't contain any harmful ingredients. I stocked up during a buy-one-get-one-free deal, and I'd say the price is quite reasonable for what you get. It's not particularly hydrating. While it doesn't make your lips crack immediately, you don't get that long-lasting moisture feeling either. If you're looking for something truly hydrating, you might actually find this lip balm a bit dry. It really lives up to its 'matte' name, perhaps a bit too faithfully.
