I tried coconut oil for my clogged pores without success, but then I heard about Tree Hut's effectiveness and immediately decided to buy it! It's been about 6 months now, and while it's not perfect, those unsightly clogged pores have significantly reduced! When it's awkward to scrub alone, using this body scrub is absolutely killer. Afterwards, my skin feels so smooth that I can't stop touching it! The scent is quite unique, though. I haven't found any disappointing aspects yet... It's best to use it when your body is still damp - ma*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinSep 16, 2017
1. Texture: It's a slightly coarse sugar scrub. 2. Exfoliating power: There's a reason why Tree Hut scrubs are so popular. Like the Brazilian Nut I used before, this Hawaiian Kukui is excellent as an exfoliant. While the strong scents of other scrubs often give me a headache, I imagine all Tree Hut scrubs are similarly effective. 3. Fragrance: It's hard to describe, but it has a somewhat exotic floral scent. Interestingly, although kukui is a nut, it has a floral aroma. Regardless, it's a pleasant fragrance that doesn't cause headaches. The color is a bit... intimidating. It looks reddish, which can be scary. In the container, it appears as a light brown, but when applied to the body, it's more of an orange-red, which is a bit startling. Another downside is the lack of a spatula. If only it came with one! That would have made it even better. - na****Normal SkinAug 9, 2017
Personally, I'm not a fan of fruity scents, but the fragrance here is quite pleasant, though intense. I can't quite place it... At first, the particles feel coarse, but when massaging it all over, it's stimulating yet comfortable, with a refreshing coolness. The moment you rinse it off with water, you can feel your skin becoming incredibly soft. The container is wide and shallow, which is a bit inconvenient. You need to open it with wet hands, scoop it out, and apply. I bought it thinking it was gentle due to the organic shea content, but after analyzing the ingredients, I found there are quite a few potentially risky components. Try using it together with a body butter. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinFeb 22, 2016
I have dry body skin that's prone to dead skin cells, so I frequently exfoliate. Due to my dry skin, I follow a routine of scrub, shower gel, generous oil application, and finish with a body emulsion. This product feels just like brown sugar mixed with oil. When using it, the particles are large, so you can massage until they dissolve. It's oily, which makes for a great massage. After rinsing with shower gel, that's when I really feel the difference in my skin! I'm quite satisfied. And I don't even need to use additional oil - I just finish with a light layer of emulsion. If I had to mention a downside, it's that water keeps getting into the product when I shower because I scoop it out with my hands. Also, you need to mix it a bit with your fingers, so the product doesn't diminish quickly... because of the water. To solve this, you can put a spoon in the container and use that instead.
