I don't use it as a base (since it doesn't apply smoothly), but I do apply it when I'm at home or going out for a quick errand. To be honest, it does have a whitening effect, which is why I love it.

The texture is almost solid, so it doesn't absorb well. Even an hour after application, it just sits on the skin. When I applied it, I could feel there were some questionable ingredients. After using it, I experienced blemishes and my skin condition worsened. It doesn't work well with other skincare products either. If you apply it after your basic skincare routine, it doesn't blend well with either hydrating or cream formulas. Using it alone isn't great either, as the texture feels like a mud mask. I bought it because it contains pearl, but I can't see any effects, and I'm worried it might make my skin worse. There's a saying that Southeast Asian whitening products are good, but I found domestic brightening products to be far superior. This is the first time I've written such a long negative review, but despite its popularity, it's really disappointing. As a side note, I bought many other famous Southeast Asian cosmetics, and they were all equally disappointing. The ingredients are not good, and the effects are mediocre. Almost all products contain DMDM Hydantoin, a potentially carcinogenic preservative.

I'm not sure about any specific advantages. I bought it as a must-have souvenir from Southeast Asia, but personally, I can't find any notable benefits besides its fame.

1. Make sure to exfoliate well before using! It really highlights dead skin cells.

2. The absorption could be better. You need to spread it multiple times, which is quite tedious.

3. If you have any uneven skin texture or blemishes, avoid using this as it will accentuate them!

4. It leaves the skin feeling very dry.

It's quite challenging to apply. The inconvenience of having to mix it with an emulsion is a drawback.

Since I have blemish-prone skin with some texture and visible pores, you can see the product settling into these areas. It's also extremely drying. When you apply it, your skin feels smooth, but it's similar to how powder makes your skin feel soft yet dehydrated at the same time. Honestly, I'm not confident going bare-faced, so even when wearing a mask, I usually rely on products like brightening moisturizers, makeup bases, or brightening sunscreens. However, this product is too drying to use on its own and doesn't absorb well. It might work better if combined with an oil or other skincare products, but that's not easy to do either.

As a brightening moisturizer, it does give you a lighter complexion. You'll definitely notice how it evens your skin tone when applied. The fragrance is lovely too - it has this wonderful, rich powder scent that I really enjoyed.

I bought this after seeing it on a must-buy list for Cebu, Philippines trips. The fragrance is truly delightful! At first, I was taken aback by the thick, stiff texture of the product, but you get used to it as you apply.
