I don't use it as a base (since it doesn't apply smoothly), but I do apply it when I'm at home or going out for a quick errand. To be honest, it does have a whitening effect, which is why I love it. I'm not sure about any specific advantages. I bought it as a must-have souvenir from Southeast Asia, but personally, I can't find any notable benefits besides its fame. The texture is almost solid, so it doesn't absorb well. Even an hour after application, it just sits on the skin. When I applied it, I could feel there were some questionable ingredients. After using it, I experienced blemishes and my skin condition worsened. It doesn't work well with other skincare products either. If you apply it after your basic skincare routine, it doesn't blend well with either hydrating or cream formulas. Using it alone isn't great either, as the texture feels like a mud mask. I bought it because it contains pearl, but I can't see any effects, and I'm worried it might make my skin worse. There's a saying that Southeast Asian whitening products are good, but I found domestic brightening products to be far superior. This is the first time I've written such a long negative review, but despite its popularity, it's really disappointing. As a side note, I bought many other famous Southeast Asian cosmetics, and they were all equally disappointing. The ingredients are not good, and the effects are mediocre. Great for brightening the complexion! It quickly gives your skin a radiant glow. 1. Make sure to exfoliate well before using! It really highlights dead skin cells. 2. The absorption could be better. You need to spread it multiple times, which is quite tedious. 3. If you have any uneven skin texture or blemishes, avoid using this as it will accentuate them! 4. It leaves the skin feeling very dry.

Despite the small amount, it lasts longer than expected. With consistent use, you'll notice a brightening effect on your complexion. It's quite challenging to apply. The inconvenience of having to mix it with an emulsion is a drawback. As a brightening moisturizer, it does give you a lighter complexion. You'll definitely notice how it evens your skin tone when applied. The fragrance is lovely too - it has this wonderful, rich powder scent that I really enjoyed. Since I have blemish-prone skin with some texture and visible pores, you can see the product settling into these areas. It's also extremely drying. When you apply it, your skin feels smooth, but it's similar to how powder makes your skin feel soft yet dehydrated at the same time. Honestly, I'm not confident going bare-faced, so even when wearing a mask, I usually rely on products like brightening moisturizers, makeup bases, or brightening sunscreens. However, this product is too drying to use on its own and doesn't absorb well. At first, I was taken aback by the thick, stiff texture of the product, but you get used to it as you apply. While I haven't seen dramatic results yet, I've noticed that when I wake up in the morning, my complexion looks more even and less blotchy. Surprisingly, it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry or tight after application, which is great! So far, I haven't experienced any blemishes, which is good. However, looking at the list of potential allergens, I noticed a few ingredients that concern me... It's a bit disappointing. If only the ingredients were better, this would be a five-star product for sure. For those who find it difficult to spread evenly due to its thick consistency, try applying it over your moisturizer. This will make it much easier to smooth on!

The brightening effect was so natural. I've always experienced some darkening with other whitening creams, but this was the only product that didn't cause that issue. I loved it! I feel like this product would work well for both oily and dry skin types. As someone with dry skin, I appreciated how it adhered to my skin with a rich feel, yet without being sticky. It's truly a well-formulated product! Despite its texture, it didn't pill or separate on my skin. I bought 4 of these in the Philippines, but it still didn't feel like enough. There's a reason why people buy 10 at a time - it's no exaggeration to say you can use up a whole container in a week! The packaging feels flimsy. It's like it could break at any moment. That's why I've transferred the product into a separate container for use. There's a slight issue with it settling into fine lines. After smiling or making expressions, I noticed it had creased around my nose. Sigh... Since this product doesn't have a runny consistency, the puff doesn't absorb too much of it! Apply it by patting the puff all over your skin to help it adhere evenly. It really makes your makeup look flawless. It's also decent as a makeup base.
