When applied during normal to good lip condition, it moisturizes the lips and adds a nice sheen. When my lips are in good condition, the moisturizing effect also lasts a long time. I don't necessarily need a lip balm, as my lips don't get very dry even in the dead of winter, even when I use matte lipsticks or mousse-type products. I just carry it around to apply when I feel like it or when my lips feel bare. But since I'm a lip balm enthusiast, I've tried pretty much every lip balm available on the market in Korea. If there are any I can't find in Korea, I even have them purchased through proxy shopping services so I can try them all. I have acne-prone and seborrheic skin, so I'm taking Accutane, but it has no effect on the chapped lips caused by the side effects... I bought this even though I knew it was for chapped lips, but it had no effect, so I ended up rotating through several other lip balms to find one that works for me. I stopped taking Accutane for about a month, and recently started taking it again, but tried this lip balm again, and it's still ineffective. It feels lightweight and oily, so it seems to just disappear really quickly. I have to reapply it every 5 minutes. Since my lips are in such poor condition, I don't get any deep moisturizing feeling, just a surface-level effect. The severely cracked and bleeding parts of my lips aren't healing at all. For severely dry, cracked, or peeling lips, you'd be better off trying a different product. The price varies across pharmacies, but I think I paid around 5,000 won. But it's not really worth that much... It's not as thick and waxy as Vaseline, but has an oily, slippery texture, so it's not a good idea to apply it thickly like a mask and sleep in it at night. My lips were severely cracked and torn, but the pharmacist gave me this product to use. After using it for about 2 weeks, the problem was miraculously healed. The tube is easy to squeeze, so it's hygienic, and the moisturizing effect is amazing. It even helps to immediately suppress flaky skin. There's nothing particularly bad, but the scent is a bit cloying, I suppose... It's hard to pinpoint exactly what's lacking. 
Hwahae UserCombination SkinMay 31, 2016It does make my bare face feel soft and supple, but I'm not sure...? Ah, the fragrance is also subtly nice. After applying makeup, it makes my skin flaky and feels dry inside, and only the surface seems oily, without a moisturized feel. 
Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 6, 2016Thanks to the dry weather, my lips were always cracked and bleeding, and even with makeup, my lips looked dirty. But I bought a product from the pharmacy that they said was effective for hydrating dry lips. I've been diligently using it every night after cleansing, toning, and applying my skincare, and the cracking and bleeding have significantly decreased. Plus, my lips are smooth even with makeup - I'm really happy with it!! Personally, I was a bit disappointed that it's in a tube form. I wish they had also released it in a stick form.
