It lathers up quite well for a hair loss prevention shampoo. I have very fine hair and an oily scalp that requires daily washing. It wasn't bad for summer use, but it had many ingredients I was wary of. I think this one has better ingredients overall. Menthol, alcohol, and citric acid are common in oily scalp shampoos, so I'm okay with that level.
