Compared to the previous red bottle of brightening essence, which was an oil type, this product is a watery skin type, making it even more moisturizing. The brightening essence is also great, so I've been using it all this time! It's wonderful - no irritation, and it absorbs cleanly. In the end, it leaves my skin looking vibrant and healthy! The dropper format is convenient, but there seems to be some product left at the end that I can't fully use up. This product is used only in the summer, unlike other products that can be used in both summer and winter. In the winter, it may lack sufficient oil content. Rather than brightening the skin, it provides a moderate level of moisture, making the face look lively and radiant! If you only apply this and then do your makeup, it will completely sink in and make your makeup slip off... Either let it fully absorb or apply more skincare before using this...

Hwahae UserOily SkinMay 21, 2015I was struggling with large pores and oiliness, so I bought this product when I saw it was discounted on social media. It's great!! I'd say that when you apply it, it's not overly drying, but has a slightly tightening effect. And when you apply makeup on top, it seems like there's less oil coming through than usual? It doesn't dramatically reduce the oil, but it does help manage the pores and seems to reduce the oil a bit compared to before. I applied this at night and then put on a moisturizer, but in the morning when I usually wake up a bit shiny, the shininess was a bit less. I don't recommend using this together with a moisturizer though! If you use this as a base before sunscreen and makeup like I do, it can help reduce oiliness issues for oily-skinned people like me!
