My review after using 6-7 containers of Yang Tae-oh's collaboration, including refills. I used this product consistently for about 3 years before, and suddenly remembered to write a review. Skin appearance: While my skin condition was good when I used this product, everyone I met complimented me on how great my skin looked. (At the time, I had very dry skin with no visible pores, wrinkles, or acne, just a bit of texture) It gives a glossy, Inner Glow effect. If you like that dewy look that was trendy before, I recommend this. Especially for those without blemishes or texture, if you enjoy a radiant glow on your face, this might suit you well. When applied to the face, it gives that high-end department store cosmetics feel. I've uploaded a photo to show you how it looks when applied. Color: I have a deep undertone, around shade 22, but shade 21 of this product matched me perfectly. It was a bit... light for me, but it brightened my complexion by one shade without being excessive, which I liked. Looking at the ingredients now, I see it's full of not-so-great components. When I used it for 3 years before, my skin was really good, with blemishes appearing only once a month or so. But now that my skin has become super sensitive, I'm afraid using this would cause a breakout disaster. I wish they'd replace it with better ingredients... The glow effect is both a pro and a con. The glow might suit dry skin well. However, we can't expect cosmetics to provide deep hydration. It might be too much for those with oily skin. It really does transfer easily! It leaves marks and even sticks to hair. If you touch your face with your finger, that part gets wiped off. Due to its moisturizing nature, this can't be helped, but don't expect much in terms of transfer resistance or long-lasting wear. For those with deep dryness, make sure to hydrate well with your skincare before applying this cushion. This product can cause some deep dryness, but doing this helps a bit. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 27, 2019
This review is based on using up a package containing 4 refills. 1. It's a solid choice. Being a moisturizing product, it's great for daily use without any fuss when applying. It feels light, not heavy, which made it my go-to base product for nearly two years as I could use it without any burden. 2. It's not bad for touch-ups either. When I remove makeup only from areas that have become patchy and reapply this, it blends well without leaving any streaks. 1. It pills terribly in winter. Even after exfoliating, it tends to pill around the area between the eyebrows and under the nose. You need to apply a good moisturizer, or shall I say, prep your skin well before dabbing on this cushion. 2. The coverage isn't particularly high. My skin doesn't have many blemishes, so it worked fine for me, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for high coverage. I don't think it's a good idea to stock up on cushions all at once. I bought a set with 4 refills and 1 original product, totaling 5, but even with a 2-year shelf life, it felt rushed trying to use them all up. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinApr 24, 2019
It's moisturizing and provides decent coverage. The staying power is pretty good too. As someone with sensitive skin, I unfortunately experienced some blemishes. After checking on Hwahae, I realized there are some not-so-great ingredients. I won't be repurchasing. - dh*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinMar 17, 2019
The packaging was absolutely gorgeous! When I first applied it, it made my skin look so radiant and beautiful. It also gave a lovely glow! By the afternoon, my makeup started to separate... And I even noticed some blemishes appearing on my face. I'm not sure which ingredient doesn't agree with my skin... - nu******Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 15, 2019
It's wonderfully moisturizing, soft, and doesn't leave any residue - absolutely fantastic! The staying power is a bit... disappointing, unfortunately. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 15, 2019
This is the best cushion foundation I've ever tried. It doesn't irritate my skin and gives me that coveted glowy complexion. The product quantity is a bit small. It's hard to find places that sell refills, so you often have to buy the whole package again. Highly recommended! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSep 26, 2018
This was my first base product. Even though I've switched to others since, I noticed it still looked pretty even when it started to break down. The formula is quite thin, which was perfect for me as a beginner since I didn't need much coverage at the time. I was quite satisfied with it. The coverage is really disappointing. It's hard to say if it even brightens the complexion. It's just a cushion that gives you that 'I'm wearing makeup' look without doing much else. Concealer is a must with this! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 21, 2018
*Color I bought the lightest shade, #1 Vanilla Beige, but it turned out a bit too white on me. There seems to be a slight white cast. *Coverage I had some acne marks on my forehead, and this cushion covered all the red spots. While it occasionally missed a few areas, overall it was quite good. It's a usable cushion. Despite being a CC cushion, it has impressive coverage. No darkening effect either. *Application It doesn't feel heavy when applied. Being a CC cushion, it definitely feels lighter on the skin. *Review There is some minor caking, but it's not too noticeable. *Skin Reaction Strangely, after using this product, I noticed some blemishes appearing on my skin. This aspect is a bit disappointing. It might be because I have super sensitive skin, though. *Honey Tip Since it can feel a bit rich when applied with toner, I think it would work well if used with a facial mist. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 31, 2018
This CC cream is fantastic! It's hydrating, offers great coverage, and has impressive staying power. Plus, it provides sun protection and works well for touch-ups. The best part is that the coverage doesn't look heavy or dull on the skin. If there's a downside, it might be the ingredients list, which could be improved. The price point is also a bit on the higher side, which is slightly disappointing. Here's a pro tip: when applying this product, it's best not to layer too many other products before or after. Keep your skincare routine simple for the best results. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 6, 2018
I received a refill from my mom and really enjoyed using it. It was nicely moisturizing and provided decent coverage. What I particularly liked was how natural it looked on my skin - you could hardly tell I was wearing anything. As time passed, I noticed the coverage weakened. Also, the amount of product was disappointingly small!
