I highly recommend this for sensitive, acne-prone skin like mine! I've always had trouble with cleansing emulsions and oils containing milk, fermented ingredients, natural oils, shea butter, and PEGs. So I strictly used mild, low pH cleansing foams. Even after using low pH cleansing foams for 2-3 years, I still experienced irritation and redness after washing. During seasonal changes, the area around my mouth would turn white and feel dry after cleansing. My skin used to be quite good, but after 3-4 years of wearing masks, I noticed increased irritation, redness, and blemishes around my cheeks and chin. My dermatologist said it was likely due to the chemicals in the masks. While stressed about this, I learned about 'cleansing emulsions' on YouTube. I realized a previous cleansing milk didn't work for me, probably due to its oil and milk content. So I searched for a product without oil or milk ingredients and found this Eucerin one. I was skeptical but ordered one to try. I regret the stress I put myself through... Gentle cleansing really is crucial. How to use: 1. Thoroughly wash and dry your hands. 2. Apply enough product to cover your face, gently massaging to avoid irritation. 3. Massage face with wet hands (emulsification process). 4. Rinse thoroughly with water (at least 20 times). (For a more refreshing cleanse, you can use a damp cotton pad to gently remove the emulsion before rinsing. I found this too irritating for my skin, but it might work for those with healthier skin.) Honestly, it doesn't remove 100% of makeup and feels slightly slippery (which I initially disliked but grew to appreciate for its moisturizing effect). Apparently, thoroughly scrubbing off all makeup can actually irritate the skin and damage its protective barrier. Surprisingly, with gentle cleansing, I didn't experience any new blemishes. For those with sensitive, acne-prone, dry skin like mine, I recommend using only a cleansing emulsion for your first cleanse. I saw significant results in just 1-2 weeks. While I also watched my diet, I realized how crucial proper cleansing is. As I'm nearing the end of my first bottle, I've already reordered 4 more out of worry. I hope it never gets discontinued and remains available, even if only through international shipping. I love the clean design of the pump dispenser. Eucerin's packaging is always practical and sleek. I wish it came in a larger size. The nature of cleansing emulsions means you use quite a bit, so it runs out quickly. It's difficult to check how much product is left, so you need to keep a new one on hand at all times. How to use: 1. Thoroughly wash and dry your hands. 2. As someone with super sensitive skin, I found Eucerin's cleansing emulsion to be incredibly effective at cleansing my face thoroughly. I can't think of any downsides to be honest! The only bummer is that I haven't seen it in Olive Young stores lately.
