I highly recommend this for sensitive, acne-prone skin like mine! I've always had trouble with cleansing emulsions and oils containing milk, fermented ingredients, natural oils, shea butter, and PEGs. So I strictly used mild, low pH cleansing foams. Even after using low pH cleansing foams for 2-3 years, I still experienced irritation and redness after washing. During seasonal changes, the area around my mouth would turn white and feel dry after cleansing. My skin used to be quite good, but after 3-4 years of wearing masks, I noticed increased irritation, redness, and blemishes around my cheeks and chin. My dermatologist said it was likely due to the chemicals in the masks. While stressed about this, I learned about 'cleansing emulsions' on YouTube. I realized a previous cleansing milk didn't work for me, probably due to its oil and milk content. So I searched for a product without oil or milk ingredients and found this Eucerin one. I was skeptical but ordered one to try. I regret the stress I put myself through... Gentle cleansing really is crucial. How to use: 1. Thoroughly wash and dry your hands. 2. Apply enough product to cover your face, gently massaging to avoid irritation. 3. Massage face with wet hands (emulsification process). 4. Rinse thoroughly with water (at least 20 times). (For a more refreshing cleanse, you can use a damp cotton pad to gently remove the emulsion before rinsing. I found this too irritating for my skin, but it might work for those with healthier skin.) Honestly, it doesn't remove 100% of makeup and feels slightly slippery (which I initially disliked but grew to appreciate for its moisturizing effect). Apparently, thoroughly scrubbing off all makeup can actually irritate the skin and damage its protective barrier. Surprisingly, with gentle cleansing, I didn't experience any new blemishes. For those with sensitive, acne-prone, dry skin like mine, I recommend using only a cleansing emulsion for your first cleanse. I saw significant results in just 1-2 weeks. While I also watched my diet, I realized how crucial proper cleansing is. As I'm nearing the end of my first bottle, I've already reordered 4 more out of worry. I hope it never gets discontinued and remains available, even if only through international shipping. I love the clean design of the pump dispenser. Eucerin's packaging is always practical and sleek. I wish it came in a larger size. The nature of cleansing emulsions means you use quite a bit, so it runs out quickly. It's difficult to check how much product is left, so you need to keep a new one on hand at all times. How to use: 1. Thoroughly wash and dry your hands. 2. As someone with super sensitive skin, I found Eucerin's cleansing emulsion to be incredibly effective at cleansing my face thoroughly. I can't think of any downsides to be honest! The only bummer is that I haven't seen it in Olive Young stores lately. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 3, 2019
As someone with sensitive skin, I'm always trying to cleanse without irritation, and this product is incredibly gentle! It even removes eye makeup effectively. The best part is that even if it accidentally gets in your eyes, there's no tingling sensation at all. You can rinse it off with water or use a cotton pad, but since I find cotton pads a bit harsh, I just rinse with water and it cleanses thoroughly. To be extra sure, I follow up with a light second cleanse using another cleanser. The container isn't transparent, so it's hard to tell how much product is left. You only realize it's almost empty when it suddenly feels light. While it's a bit pricey, it does last quite a while. I use this product along with the soothing emulsion, and I love how gentle they both are! - nn*****Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresFeb 26, 2017
My blemishes have significantly reduced. The cleansing effectiveness seems to be quite good. Being an emulsion type, it initially felt like I hadn't cleansed my face properly. - ch****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinJan 12, 2017
It cleanses without irritation and even helps remove dead skin cells to some extent. Although it seemed expensive at over $20 for 100ml, I tried switching to a relatively cheaper Eucerin cleansing emulsion after finishing a bottle. (That product didn't seem to have any particularly bad ingredients, but it stung immediately upon application, and after switching, I felt like it was less effective at managing pores and exfoliating.) Even though it's from the same brand and also suitable for sensitive skin, this one is the best! I repurchased this despite having 1.5 bottles of the other product left. For those with sensitive skin, finding a suitable cleanser can be difficult, but I can keep repurchasing this one as it works well without causing irritation. While there are products with good ingredients that sometimes don't suit my skin, I think this is a product I can strongly recommend to people with oily and sensitive skin. While other Eucerin cleansing emulsions often have buy-one-get-one-free promotions, this product never seems to have offline price sales or BOGO deals. The price per volume is on the expensive side. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopic SkinOct 31, 2016
It's gentle, non-sticky, and refreshing. I'm definitely considering repurchasing. I especially love that it's fragrance-free. The price seems a bit steep for the amount you get... I wish it were a little more affordable. - zz****Dry SkinSensitive SkinMar 26, 2016
I'm currently using my third bottle of this product. It's been great for my sensitive and dry skin. It also helps with dead skin cells. While you can rinse it off with water, using a tissue to wipe it off is more effective. However, it's a bit inconvenient as double cleansing is necessary. - ss******Dry SkinSensitive SkinMar 13, 2016
The emulsion-type formula feels gentle and non-irritating on the skin. It's fragrance-free, and there's hardly any tightness after cleansing. So far, I haven't found any significant drawbacks. If I had to nitpick, maybe the bottle isn't as soft to squeeze as I'd like. I've noticed that wiping it off with a sponge leaves my skin feeling softer than when I rinse it off with water. - jh*****Combination SkinAcne SkinMar 8, 2016
The ingredients are great! It's non-irritating and I haven't experienced any blemishes so far! This cleanser alone might not be enough. You may need to follow up with a foam cleanser to completely remove all your makeup. - do**************Dry SkinSensitive SkinMar 1, 2016
The ingredients look promising. I was also impressed by Eucerin's image of being preservative-free. It stings and causes a burning sensation. I'm not using it now, but a while back, I tried it for about a week before quitting due to the tingling. All Eucerin cleansers seem to be like this. They just don't agree with my skin. None. For me, the best tip is not to use it at all.
